ruud van nistelrooy

i've observed in the last couple of months that whenever ruud van nistelrooy scores at old trafford, he gets a few boos......
now i don't know why that is.... so i was just wondering is he unpopular with the fans there???? and if so, why is that????
hes an asset to the team in my opinion..... so i'm confused......

I don't think it's that stupid a question. If you're watching it on tv, it does sound like a big booooo goes up after he's scored or when us fans are chanting his names. I've had a couple of people ask me why are they booing him when they hear this.

We aren't booing him, we're shouting Ruuuuuuud!

It's just a question.
In fact I think they do it because it sounds like booooooooo. I think it came from US sports fans who routinely do it when a guys name sounds like the jeer.
Why don't people lighten up in here. Hate on teams but dont hate the players or worse yet, the people who post.

When Ruud scored his first goal in the CL againts Maccabi at Old Trafford, then i heard "Booooooo", but i might heard wrong, coz Ruuud sounds like boo.

I was about to ask that question myself. Whenever Ruud scores I hear a big "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" then a long"RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUD" It does sound like a boo but it's not.

Nobody wanted Ruud gone. When a striker is not performing for a team i.e. not scoring goals, naturally a fan will worry about what has gone wrong with the striker, especially if he broke all scoring records last season. And the talk of buying another striker was to.......COMPLEMENT RUUD VAN NISTELROOY, NOT REPLACE HIM!!!!!!!
