Forget about using 2GK in conjunction with (most) user made stadiums or play Fifa06, Fifa07 just has not enough memory to allocate the textures in (while Fifa06 had more than enough, go figure), so unless someone fiddles with the fifa07.exe itself it won't happen.

The Athens stadium in the UEFA CL game works in 2GK because it is a home made EA one and has less polyglons than user ones (which most authors overdo on the polyglon count anyway, a bit like the facemakers and their precious 2GF which is bull**** anyway), so uses less memory than the user made one.

I'm not some retard that pulls info out of his ass (unlike my Ockham pall) so you don't tell me to shut up please. I work with Fifa files from the time most were still ****ting themselves in their pampers, and I made Doom I levels in the time most weren't even sperm cells. I worked thousands of men hours on Fifa games and my real life name is in the credits of Fifa2005, 06 and 07. (Yes I work(ed) for EA as a database editor, not going to work on 08 though, they are changing all of their database editors, so for peeps interested there are openings right now, so instead of complaining about the db, get your asses at work, thx).

So your "big secret from the l33t" is simple : to make stadiums work with 2GK kits you shrink the stadium textures as much as possible (not a bad thing, in fact an excellent idea) + remove some non important textures (like the track one in the Louis II) and oh miracle, it works in 2GK, correct me if I'm wrong.

It's simple mathematics : let's make it easy : say Fifa07 memory is 100% :

Stadium unshrinked takes up 30%, addboards take up 5%, faces 25%, kits 40% (1GK ones half of that so 22,5%), that's 100%, now add one more double textured ball, flag or shoe and your game will crash.

If I would respect the 100% scale from Fifa07, Fifa06 allowed 150%, so everything worked in 2GK (save faces but then again those eat hogs of memory and they never worked above 1GF anyway, those stating the contrary are plain liars) but for some reason only known by the bright developpers team at EA they shrunk the memory capacity in it's successor. WTG.

So it seem there is no possibility to have a normal manager career having 2gk with any of these the converted stadiums. it´s a shame but wé´ll have to stick with EA ones.

You should release 2 versions if possible...one full house for 1G graphs and one not full house for all the 2G fanatics ...Because sometimes, those stadiums are full ( sociedad vs bilbao for ex )

Wow, I took the time to reread my post and I sound like a pompuous old dick in some paragraphs (my Doom levels rule though, anyone still running MS DOS? ), I apoligise to Samuel, didn't mean to be rude, was in a very bad mood yesterday and I should reffrain typing posts when in such a mood. So sorry for that.

If you have a way to make the stadiums work in 2GK, or your friend has one other people including me are missing, please make your friend consider to explain it, make a brief tutorial maybe if he has time for the benefit of every stadium user/editor/convertor.

On another note, I corrected the conversion of the CT Bellnet Riverside from Middlesborough to work with 2GK by removing some unneeded textures, if some Boro fans need it, mail me or something (I can't publish it as it's not my work) and I'll see if I can mail it to you.

Also I worked out the perfect stress test for new converted or built stadiums to test their memory capacity in handling double textured graphics.

- Select the stadium to test and choose nightime
- Teams : Real Madrid vs. Barcelona, then double check with Barcelona vs AC Milan (these 3 teams are the biggest memory hogs, if it works for those it works for all teams)
- Graphics : 1GK kits for keepers, 1GK kit for referees, 2GK kit for all players, Make all players wear their real life shoes in 2GB (see Keegan's thread to find the shoes and Kimikal's thread to see what the players wear), 2GA Adboards (brands don't matter), 2GB ball (any will do), 2GF flags for both teams and if possible 1GF faces for all players (including reserves).

Play, if it works you're fine. (and if you're brave try to put the referee in 2GK and the keepers also, 2GG gloves for the keepers and why not a nice double textured sky for the stadium, then try again between each step, if you succeed in launching all of that together, mail me your system specs! you would be the first known person to be able to run full 2G in Fifa07)

if it crashes when load stadium screen shows and loading bar doesn't reach the end, then first remove in this order :

- change 2GK kits to 1GK

retry, if it works you're fine, if not remove/change and try again in this order, retry the game in the above setting between each step to see if it works...

- change 2GA adboards to 1GA
- change 2GF home team flags to 1GF
- change 2GB Ball to 1GB

The only stadiums that work with everything in single texture so far are the Allianz Arena from Fifa ECP (change it with the EA CL game version as soon as you can) and the Rheinenergie from FC Cologne.

Very few stadiums work with everything in 2G :

White Hart Lane from the Spurs is one of those

Most stadiums accept everything in 2G save kits.

It's a bit of trial and error until you find the thing that works, but take backups often

Finaly when everyone has done their testing, put your heads together and release a Best of Stadiums patch for Fifa so everyone can use it
