It can be done...

The easiest way would be to download Nick's gameplay patch that is coming out this weekend. It really gives you a chance of bending one in...like Beckham. The thing you want to do is aim the arrow not all the way up to the top...but a notch or two down. Aim the arrow at the point in the goal where you want the ball to go, then hit the curve button to reflect the way you want the ball to swerve. Do not readjust to put the arrow point inside the goal. The ball will swing to the place in the goal where you initially placed the arrow.

Hope that helps...but check out Nicky's gameplay patch. I'm able to score on free kicks from inside about 30 yards about 50 percent of the time depending who the shooter is ...it's great fun.
