If other games have so few as 8 , how come that in the WE/PES you can score goals from angles that you could only dream of in past FIFA games ie 16 in 2003. I was going to discribe Van the Man's goal in WE7 just action speaks louder than words.. will we be able to score a goal in the "Exact" same way in 2004. the dummy the lot?? If you are in the know , and say Yes then I will be one very happy bunny.

thats the pt.. just because you have 24 directions.. it doesnt mean.. 24 pre-picked spots...

I must admit that is one great goal he made there
it would be extremely nic if we are able to score such goals
than fifa rocks definetly
and nice move van nistelrooy made there stepping over the ball and running around the defender
just one great goal:rockman: let us pray that we can do that in fifa2004:hump: :crazyboy:

i just wish ea would put as much time and effort into fifa as they do in madden...i know soccer is much more complicated to duplicate but putting in more animations and more freedom while shooting can't be that hard

there needs to be on optional shooting mode that gives you complete control of your shot...ie while the power meter is being held down for the shot you use the right analog to place the ball where you want...it could also be used for crosses and passes but there needs to be the option to not use it in case it takes a few years for ea to get right (which wouldn't surprise me)

Ea look to have woken up and realised that PES is a big threat, so i dont think that will be an issue anymore, I dont know how many would reject fifa 2004 if the gameplay was anywhere near 2003 but if this forum is anything to go by it would have been enourmous figures, too bad there is no competition for the gamecube and xbox, and knowone mention club football:D

With madden it is essential that all the tactics and stuff are in correctly because it isnt a flowing sport so it is basic, for football games people who enjoy looking at football and dont "watch" football (if u know what i mean), may not know the difference, they dont care about plays, but as the football gamer/fan has evolved they have realised they have to buck up their ideas.

I havent seen many shooting improvements in the movies, i jus hope they have more than one shooting animation, because it is essential for the realism of the game, not just an extra

IMO, the game is worse than fifa 2002. My honest opinion.

and hydde, i think it is natural curve. Its not like when u curl towards goal, its like deflections and the way the ball is moving. It shouldnt affect gameplay too much

But i mean,, is like when you shoot, the ball go strigh forward in the direction the player is aiming, or like 2003, where the ball take awesome curls but automated, and most of them are programed to enter the goal. I mean, the keeper just do a silly move to say that he at least tried, but in fact he was able to easily stop the shoot.
