Scoring

I'm playing the Fifa 06 demo right now, and I'm finding it impossible to score. I control the entire game, have all the possesion, but when I take a shot from long range the goalie always gets a finger on it, and I can't penetrate the defence well enough to score. On breakaways it's impossible to slot it by the goalie or chip it over him, once again he'll get his fingers on it. Any tips or tricks?

On breakaways slow down and shoot low. Long shots are tougher. I have been able to score from farther out by turning, showing my back to the keeper, and allowing the defender to screen the keeper--then shooting. I've only managed to score once from beyond the box. Dado Prso hit one from about ten feet beyond the box in a tournament match against Hearts, a real "laser beam."

On breakaways, slow down and get as close as possible to the keeper... I'm having some trouble with it too... Long shots are possible, but they are rare. You have to hit the power bar precisely, and then be lucky

Lol are you guys serious? I aint beeing silly here but nearly all my goals are outside of the box, a small tip that works for me come in on an angle, drift in from a wing, Modifier to do a little shimmy to the side to open up more of an angle hold modifier and take your best shot, get some curl on it so that the angle you just opened can bend the ball arround and it will either beat the keeper and go in or rattle the post, or go wide if youve got it compleetly wrong.

I just got this game for the X-Box, its amazing but yes its very hard to score.....I am also finding it a bit tough to control the game actually.

But it is the toughest FIFA so far I think...
