Here is a quote from that web-site :
"The ball will now be a completely separate entity on the field, rather than something that "sticks to" a player once he's taken possession. "
Yeah, I also read something similar, if not the same, last year about FIFA 2003 . . .

Another :
"Highly skilled real-world players, such as Ronaldo of Brazil or David Beckham of England, will be better about keeping the ball when controlled by the computer, but possession will no longer be guaranteed the instant a player touches the ball, "
Why the computer can control the player better ? This is just exactly like FIFA 2003, the computer can manually head the ball but the human players cant, another scripted idea . . .

I agree with Hans, and I wanna add that most of the improvements
they talked about in this preview, are concerned to graphics improvements and not to gameplay - which we all wish for.

i think it meant to say, from what I heard at the fifa forums... that you can tell the difference between drblling with ronaldo or dribling with makelele... so that obviously it would be easier to dribble around with a player like zidane, than with frank de boer for example... both for the computer and for the player...

I hope that is the case. Going on ability alone I would not have been able to tell Michael Owen from Martin Keown last year. The skill stats meant nothing.

I know they say this stuff every year, but I really hope they go in the right direction this year and I think they will. Problem is that you can only judge a game if you've played it for about a week. It's only than that you know all the bugs and how repetitive it is (except if you play all day offcourse, than it takes only one day :) ). All these reviews are from people that review hundreds of games every year and they've probably only played it for a day or something, so... (I could be wrong here, but I doubt it)
Last year every review of Fifa 2003 promised a great game! But in the end we're always disappointed again. Too scripted, repetitive, buggy,...
I really hope they deliver a good game this year with no scripted gameplay and no assistance in everything you do. The reviews sound really promising again but they're the same every year so... I'll wait for the demo and watch some stupid EA video's meanwhile :)

yeah, until the demo comes out, everything else is just opinions and thoughts... I'll give the benefit of the doubt until I play it, same thing with we7 and cf..

...indeed...but I must say, that from the facts I've heard (4 doubled the number of controls, and triplicated the number of playerattributes, and attribute scale...)it sounds like something better...way better. If it IS or not...yet to see

Does anyone have an approximation on how many teams there will be in the game? The preview said that there will be 300 new different team chants. How many chants do you think would each team be alotted?

PS: the net physics dont seem to have changed judging from that early clip.

BTW...in the movie, it shows the players jumping around after their first touch, when receiving the pass...it looks stupid. I hope they don't do this everytime they receive a pass...looks stupid :crazyboy:

I doesn't sound too bad, but it's just like every year. We will have to wait for the Demo, but I do think that EA did take a lot of the ideas from people's wishlist, either from these forums or other ones. They are putting back the Creation Center and more stadiums. Now all they have to do for each FIFA version is keep the old stuff, but add on new stuff! If they don't do that, I will stop playing FIFA games FOREVER and switch over to Winning Eleven, not caring if's Japanese or any other language.
