I think those things are just minor flaws compared to all those times the cpu interferes in the controlling of a player. Making him go ******* spastic or run in the opposite direction than you wanted. :lui:
These things are so irritating and considering that the cpu is so precise in executing them I'm wondering why Konami wasted the AI by making it **** the game up since it does require some wits from the AI to spot a perfect place to make you player go insane.

I'm afraid this is the course when a company starts releasing a new version once a year (Konami releases about seven :) )because they simply don't have enough time to really make the game properly. Now Konami has taken the EA road...

Is it really coming to the point where we have to download PES before buying it to avoid wasting money on a game that's full of flaws that cannot be fixed?

I do notice them Jay, but like I said when it favours me it doesn't happen to save a definate 1on1 situation with my goalkeeper, that is the difference.

Yes Savage, Konami release about 4 games while EA release 1 and they have the absolute cheak to say EA are money grabbers, don't you love these fan boys? :lui:

does it really come to the point of not reading this forum because of such ignorance ?

konami hasnt now taken the EA road ... konami as always done this , only diference is that now they are on the pc and xbox market. On PS , there was always PES and WE, and then WEFE.

pes5 its much better than pes4 , more real , more dificult , simply better. if you dont like it , then you simply dont like pes, you simply dont like soccer simulators.

i simply dont know if you understood what you said in the first paragraph , but you totally contradict yourself !

about the second paragraph , if you are waiting for a bug free game ... well , i am sorry to tell you this but .... its impossible

You call people ignorant and then post a statement like this?

Sometimes I wonder if some people actually think for a single second before they click the 'submit' button. It would do them good to do so.

And in which part of my post did I say these are bugs. They were deliberately made by Konami and that's the sad part. If you really think that making the cpu prevent your player from running in the direction that you wanted is the right way to make the game harder then I must congratulate you since you got what you wanted.
This game has so much potential that's partly ruined by the ****ty way the cpu acts

I was expecting to get some "you don't like pes..." and "You don't like football simulators.." type of **** and you proved I was right. You would have made my day by telling me to go play FIFA...

it sure would. pes5 is much better than pes4.

do yourself a favor ... go see the archives of soccergaming ... go see what ppl said last year about pes4 when it came out.

i am sure , that when pes6 will arrive , ppl will say pes5 was the game , and pes6 sucks ... its always the same , every year.

i dunno if its ppls inability to adapt , or it simply looks kool to bash pes.

And in which part of my post did I say these are bugs. They were deliberately made by Konami and that's the sad part.

its very very unlikely that bugs are created intentionaly ! in fact , if its intentionaly , they are no longer bugs.

i am sorry , but i am starting to believe that the FC Porto in pes its the best team of the game. i only play with fc porto , and it plays very well , no player runs away from the ball , and if he ever does , you just do a super cancel ... :)

This game has so much potential that's partly ruined by the ****ty way the cpu acts
as i posted in a forum of my country ( pes.com.pt ) i made some videos and replays , that , if the cpu could complain , he would say that its me who is the cheater ! i score so many goals in the late 10 minutes.. ( and crazy rebounds ) hehe :) of course , sometimes also does the cpu :)

I was expecting to get some "you don't like pes..." and "You don't like football simulators.." type of **** and you proved I was right. You would have made my day by telling me to go play FIFA...

you do what you want to do. if you got ofended by what i said , i am sorry. but read what you said . it was just not true. if you lied , or didnt know the truth , its with you, but konami hasnt change their strategy, its still the same , almost the same deadlines , almost always the same naming schemes.

if you reallly really like games where there is no middle field pressure , where almost every corner is a goal, where shooting seems to be done in slow motion , then ok , its your taste. you may not like pes5 , but you could at least admit that its more real.

NOTHING worst than the goalkeeper bug.. Where he comes out to catch what looks like an easy as ball but instead he just keeps running forward like an idiot and the ball goes over him easily going into the net. And thats without you calling for the keeper. That sort of ish never happens in real life. Thats more annoying than the bad physics bug which happens in many games not just sports games.

I like the pes series having played them for a long time. I know PES 5 has some great improvements (ball control, shooting etc.) and I definitely like the way the cpu puts pressure on the player with the ball. But what I said earlier has absolutely nothing to do with pressuring. Isn't it weird that when I try to run to the ball and the cpu's player has twice as long way to reach the ball my player takes a curve and lets the cpu get the ball or when I need to turn left (and naturally press "left") my player turns right first so that getting in the right direction then takes longer and the cpu has passed me. Increase the number of stars and this happens more often...
I don't know which version do you play (PC, XBOX or PS2) but I play the PC version and with PC these things definitely happen. If you haven't had them, lucky you! :lui:
you shouldn't be offended by the criticism shown towards the game simply because you can't see the flaws. It's not like you made this game...

Well the goalkeeper bing able to puch the ball away outside the box with his hands shouldn't be in any football game other than Fifa. Hope konami finds away to fix it or atleast penalised the team.

This coming from a guy who can't manage to make his henry outrun defenders. Who can't manage to execute a 'quick turn' and score. Do us all a favour and at least try to learn to play the game.
