On form, yes. But he's on abysmal form and Nuno Gomes is performing. Would be too risky to put a non-fired up Pauleta, especially when the team plays with only one player upfront.

... if it was a foul then why has uefa removed the ref from the rest of the tournament... if it was a foul he owuld have gotten a raise for spotting something no other ref would have...
the fact that everyone has the same penalty spot doesnt matter... first of all becks was the first up so he didnt know it was dodgy... and just because everyone had it doesnt mean it effected everyone, becks penalty the ball rolled forwards just before he hit it. then its lucky it effected his penalty... if it hadnt and the rest of the pks were the same england would have won. and i know rooney getting injured is a part of football. that doesnt stop it from being lucky that it did... until the point he got injured we had complete control of the match and were already 1-0 up. and even tho it did happen we still held out all the way until the pks which are considered by anyone to be a lottery... if u had of lost ronaldo how do u think the match would have ended then... fact is football is based a lot on luck and uve had a lot of it so far.

welcome to the forums #71 and don't bother writing posts to answer to some kind of users of this forum that have a particulary pain in some part of the body and that thinks that all that is Portuguese is ugly, discusting and bad. We are so bad that our players aren't seeing the tournament in his sofas right now.

2. your bull****ting, Meier is still in the Euro. If he's out it's because they only need 3 more refs. 2 to ref the semi's and one for the finals.
3. There was TWO fouls on the play. READ THE RULE BOOK
4.Wasn't the english saying how Ronaldo was **** and that Cole was dominating him? Then if that's so Ronaldo wouldn't be missed

Both England's goals came from defensive blunders. UEFA removed the referee because he said he commited a mistake, saying it wasnt a foul. But it was, he was just a coward and admitted after being put into high pressure. It's not the first time Becks miss a penalty, if it wasnt the dodgy penalty spot he would end up missing anyway. That's called fate. If Portugal had lost Ronaldo they wouldnt have missed anything, because he didnt do anything special.

how is he a coward for admitting he was wrong... standing up and saying sorry for ur mistakes is a brave thing to do..... despite the fact that he made a mistake he is still a good enough ref to referee in an international tournament so i think he knows just a little bit more than you do but of cause u know better dont u...

I'd really like to see Greece vs Portugal in the finals, only because im Portuguese and a friend of mine is Greek and he all of a sudden loves soccer so much because Greece is in the semi-finals and keeps bugging me about it. Honestly, Ive never seen Holland play, and I only saw Portugal play against Spain. From what i've seen Portugal plays very well, but they dont take many shots. They do however have excellent ball control and often have possesion of the ball. Tommorow im going to speak with my boss and see if I can take off Wednesday to watch the game, or at least come in late. Ricardo may be a great GK but during the Spain game there were many close calls because he was so far out. I would really love to see Portugal win, I'd like to say they'll take the win, but I cant because I honestly dont know. Im rooting for Portugal till the end, even if they lose they've done a great job, and im proud of my countries team.

I believe! Forca Portugal!

I think that should be given another chance to Pauleta against Holland. He is a great player and Nuno Gomes's fitness isn't the best as he injuried his ankle. As a Benfica fan i like Gomes very much but i think that this yellow card ban will make return the 'best' of Pauleta. If not, Nuno Gomes and Postiga are very good options.

About Urs Meier, just to finish...After watching it on TV he still thinks that there was a foul and he hasn't been kicked off yet. The 3 last games referees will be decided Monday and his perfomance will be also analysed tomorrow so...

Well Dansm...who said we were the best team in the world? Portugal is the best to me as your country is the best to you...We are only saying that Portugal was the best team against England, Spain and Russia. We haven't won nothing yet.

and yeah!we're just lucky, ronaldo's tricks are just him trying to run from the ball, rui costa's shot was just trying to relieve the english pressure...
