Do you guys no about this guy. Hes been linked with Liverpool and apparently is a Liverpool supporter. Hes lively on the pitch and looks promising. Any Argentinians on here to tell us more about him? Meanwhile check this video.

I'm always rather skeptical about these young South Americans that are supposed to be the next big thing. Some players need time to adapt, others fall short of expectations.

yeah I'll agree with that... The Portuguese league for example is loaded with so-called craques and "future superstars" mostly from Brazil that end up being pretty average...

although Diego probably isn't the best example because I beleive he really is a good player, just hasn't shown too much of it yet..

I never thought too much of him when he was on Brazil. He used to be brilliant in quite a good amount of games, but in a very good amount he was pretty much average. From the Santos duo he was always 2nd best in my opinion. Robinho still has stuff to show, but we all know he's far more talented than Diego.

How's he doing in the EPL btw.?

well i've only seen him in highlights and he's done little to impress me so far. All i've seen him do his make simple passes and take corners.

I've seen D'Alessandro play once at Portsmouth, he did ok. Nothing special... I don't think his career is over though, still could be called up by Pekerman to the Argie squad and who knows, maybe a change of scenery will do him well if he performs in the WC. I'm hoping a big club signs him, his passage through Wolfsburg was horrible but like many others I think he can resurect his career.

As for Aguero, I think he's the real deal. When I was watching the River/Independiente game, it's like I already knew the kid was gonna score, and he did. Within the first minutes of the 2nd half...wow.

He can sing too. :fool:

Europe are boring. you guys are watchin better stuff over there. All we have here is Soccer Am and i've stopped watching that because its very repetitive.

I've said it before, I miss Fantasy Football. Confining it to an airing every time a major tournament is on is just wrong.

D'Alessandro choose bad teams...But he is a great player, he has a lot of talent, a good coach and a good team and he can show his ability...

Aguero is a great player, but he is in a very defensive team...

I never liked D'Alessandro to be honest, not even in his 'golden' River Plate years. I always thought he was overrated

This guy plays for Indepentiente (can't spell) and is doing well in the league. Man of the Match Material.

He played in the Youth World Cup at 15 for Argentina, breaking the "youngest player to have played in the youth world cup" record. He won the tournament with Messi.

Messi, Mascherano and Aguero are seen as the next generation of Argentinian football. The Argentinian Manager Pekerman has noted he may bring Aguero to World Cup 2006 Germany.
