what do i need to set-up my ps2 for this, i have a 2 meg connection on my pc right next to my ps2, what else would i need, im not very clued up on hooking up my ps2, what costs are involved? do you need a subscription like with xbox? what extras will i need for my ps2? hard drive ethernet adaptor etc?? and how much do these things cost, what would be the rough costs of setting up something like this?

PS2 online is free!

and all you need is the network adaptor and a memory card. The new slim ps2's are already "network ready" but if you have the older model then you are going to need to purchase the network adaptor. After that, it takes about 2-5 mins to set it up, there are step by step instructions when setting it up so it is very easy and fast to do

for the actual setting up your modem with your ps2. Attach the Ethrenet cable to the back of your ps2 where the network adaptor is and obviously have the other end plugged into your modem. And then have the other cord going from your modem into the phone Carlos. And there you go! (thats with ADSL, but i am sure cable internet is generally the same but you are using a cable cord instead of a phone cord)

and yes, you will not be able to use your internet on your computer when you are online with the ps2... however it is possible to do both using a router
