I might lose votes from all the diagrams and pictures I post to explain my tactical system.
haha, you kno I was thinking the same thing recently ... I'm used to planning a 24-man squad when I do management games, so 18 was a little limiting, but an interesting challenge ... even with a reduced squad size, I was never going to plan for anything but a team with several possible setups and combinations; that itself is a few diagrams ... then I have player movement diagrams for the various plans of attack and defence, along with the more frequent events that occur during a match; again, several more diagrams ... then there's illustrations of the organization for various freekick types, corners, and other setpieces ... and that's just getting started ... it's just too much for a game of this level, surely?
coz after planning all that, the voters might -- as you suggest -- be wholly overwhelmed and/or bored, meaning they'd just glance at the squad, choose which players are their "deciders", and then place their votes ...
I think it may be too much even in terms of time for preparing all that to present at the start of the tournament, let alone for every match, and quite apart from having to read others' at the start of the tournament, and then for every match ... will be interesting how we keep it as simple as possible, but without sacrificing the part of the game that would separate novices from the elite ...
