Shot power?

In PES5, how do you set the shot power? I use button one on my gamepad (Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2), the square equivilent. I see the power bar but even if I just tap the shoot button, it usually ends up at full power and the shot is wild.

Can I slow down the power-up speed? About 1/2 or 1/3 would be nice!

The speed it goes up is controlled by how much controll your player has on the ball, ie if he's running at full pelt, under pressure from a defender and shooting on the turn he's going to blast it over.

Even when they have control, it's very quick. Is there no FIFA style option?
Nope, you have to get used to it like everyone else. If your powerbar gets full everytime, even when you have room for a good shot, then you really press the button too long....

Does anyone know if the lob pass shot meter behaves the same way? it's really inconsistent for me. Sometimes, it comes up really fast, othertimes, it doesn't come up at all and my player will do this weird little toe punt chip pass.

Shot power is a very disturbing thing at PES5 ... Varies depending on player position , speed , etc. I agree it shouldn't be the same all the time , but it realy must be SLOWER.

I remember in FIFA you'd have to spend 2 or 3 seconds in front of the keeper waiting for the power bar to fill. :nape:

When i have the ball under control just a tap will do to get a normal shot off, or hold it for for 1/2 a second for a more powerfull one. :jambo:

FIFA does not belong in a discussion of soccergames only PES 5 does!

I'd just like to add that the 'power' bar, isn't actually a power bar at all, it's a 'height' bar apparently. The longer you hold it on, the higher off the ground you'll hit the ball.

Cheers
