I use the Microsoft Sidewinder Freestyle Pro which costed me around Singapore $160 [US$75+, i dunno]. It is not a 360 degree pad but it has a motion sensor option which i don't use often. The motion sensor is not easy to control but deadly when mastered.

And by the way, unlike the many ppl facing problems with Sidewinder Gamepads [gamepad, gamepad pro, freestyle pro...], mine works awesomely both under my old Win 98 SE* and my current Win XP Pro*.

* Works both with/without Sidewinder Game Controller Software

Probably the best 360° gamepad is the Logitech Rumblepad.

Quote Logitech Site:
"Just try and hold on to the new WingMan® RumblePad™. This feature-rich controller packs a throttle, dual analog mini joysticks and realistic vibration into one awesome unit. You get a sliding throttle for precise speed control, two analog sticks for full 360 degree rotation, plus vibration feedback to let you feel every turn, bump and dip in your games."

I've tried my friend's rumblepad... it ROCKS :)

Yes, you can shoot and pass in all directions with the Rumblepad. I bought one specifically for FIFA WC and have not been disappointed. You can also execute 1-2 passes with the second analog stick, just like the Xbox and PS2 versions of the game.

You can't shoot in all directions even if your gamepad allows u to do so... from what I know, FIFA 2002/WC2002 supports only up to 16 directions... but at least better than my 8 direction pad :p
