I really don't know where you got your information from but the 9700 PRO will still be superior over the 9900 (not Pro).
But if the 9900 is cheaper than the FX (no wonder cause the FX is muuuuuch to expensive) than why not!
They bring this card out for other people to enjoy Radeongraphics with smaller purses cuz don't forget that the 9700 PRO is still very expensive and a lot of people can't afford it, I can buy it very cheap because I work in a PC Shop. Quieter?? Who cares, I can't hear my Radeon at all and it uses the computerpower AND has it's own fan.

Yes this is the first DirectX 9 compatible card on the market that's true. I paid nothing cause it was a present from my boss, I work in a computerstore and got it for all the hard work i put in
Normally the card is about 450 Euro (same in US Dollars)

Yes the Beckhamface is from fiface.okjys.net, I've downloaded it yesterday.
Good looking shots there Unknown, I like the Beckham one taking a freekick, nicely done

Not bad but poor quality, the first one is way too big to post here, people who have slow connections need to wait much longer to let ss load like this, resize them and enhance the quality of the ss.
I'll send you the faces later Unknown, I just import faces with FaceRaptor and add their name to the database that's all!
