Simulated Results

Ok, I am not sure if there is a solution for this but might as well bring it up.

I have edited my game quite heavily with CM, am using the NK update and in general am happy with the gameplay etc. My frustration is with the cpu results in my career. I play with Arsenal and would expect Chelsea, ManU, and Liverpool to challenge for the top spots but often they fail...miserably. I had one season where ManU barely avoided relegation and LIverpool was firmly stuck in the bottom half. In my current season at least Chelsea is giving me a good run but Middlesbrough and Fulham are challenging for the title. If you watch the EPL you know this would NOT happen. In the Champions League, Barca and Chelsea were in the same group with HSV and Austria Magna and in the end both went out without winning a game! I am expecting to play a top team in the knock out rounds....not HSV (about to to get relegated in Germany).

Using CM I have made Barca, Real Madrid, Chelsea, ManU, AC Milan, Inter , Lyon etc. almost stupidly good. As in Barca has 95 for Overall and 96 for Chemistry...Chelsea is almost the same yet they lost their first EPL game 4-0 at home to Newcastle! What a laugh!

Does anyone know if this can be edited? Where the probability of cpu simulated results swings towards the better team? Where the % of HSV beating Barca was 5%?

Thought I'd ask...anyone else seeing results like this and feeling like it should not be?

I've got the same problem!!!

My problem is even worse!!!

In EPL,for my last season although Liverpool,Chelsea and Arsenal are in the top 4,however their points are: 67,62 and 60.

In EPL,Chelsea should have over 75 pts,while Liver and Gunners should at least have 65 something!!!

West Ham is at 5,with pts 58!!!

The most ridiculous team is Watford: 54 pts,at 8th!!!!!!

Tottenham just avoid relegation.

For the CL,it's terrible!!!

Fenanbarche can always reach final if I don't simulate matches!

He crashed Real Madrid with 4:0 during one of my simulation!!!

In the semi final,the fixture is Olympiakos Vs Man Utd (my team) and Barcelona Vs AEK Athens!!!! My god!!!!!

This year,I try to simulate more to make the Campaign more make sense.

Still,Chelsea will lose to Crydtal Palace if I don't simulate,Liverpool always draw!!!

Watford is still at 10!!!!

For the League Cup,Liverpool was crashed by Derby County!!!

Chelsea was crashed by Pompey in total 4-7 in the semi finals!!!!

For the CL,if I don't simulate,Lyon will be out becoz he was crashed by Rosenberg by 0:4!!!! He gets Valencia and Basel and Rosenberg in his group!!!!

Chelsea will be knocked out because if I don't simulate, he will lose to Wolfsburg by 1:4!!!!

Barcelona manages to go through,but only with the 2nd,the first is Besitaks!!!

Olympiakos manages to go through still!!!With 10 pts,with Bayern Munich and Roma in their group!!!!

What I want to say is that I am getting tired to simulate!!! This reduces my intention to play,coz if I play a game,I can't control the results or else it got me to play over 1 hour on a match and to see my satisfactory results for Arsenal,Chelsea etc!!!!

Are there ways to modify that? I don't think Fenanbarche,Fulham and teams like these can crash Chelsea by 5:0!!!!

P.S. Sorry for offending the fans of the teams like AEK Athens,Derby,Fenarbarche and so on! I don't mean they are crap,just don't think according to their rating in FIFA07 can crash giants like Chelsea and Real Madrid!

Surprises do happen...especially in the League Cup and FA Cup. So if one of the tops teams goes out to a lower division team in the League Cup I dont really mind but when Barca or Chelsea cannot qualify from a group with HSV in it it gets a little too much. Yes ManU, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal will lose matches in a season but not enough to be battling for relegation!

Some teams seem to have the sim luck on their side e.g. Fenerbahce. Consistently beating top teams (Milan, Madrid etc) by rather large scores such as 3-0. Sorry but that would not happen. One good result might happen in a season but they are nowhere near good enough to qualify out of a group with Inter and Valencia in it!

There is one more problem.

By the means of Creation Master, I modify the teams playing each other a little.

e.g. Originally for each cup,the 1st last year will Vs the second last year!
So I change this to avoid Liverpool Vs Chelsea in the 3rd round,like Liverpool Vs Arsenal yesterday:boohoo: I edit that each Premier team Vs a lower division team.
But afterwards, the teams playing each other are mixed up,Liverpool still face Premiership teams in the 3rd round!!!

For CL,I use the grouping this year(i.e. Chelsea,Barcelona,Bremen and Sofia Levski in Group A,which implies Premier 1,Superliga 1,Bundesliga 2 and one team in the Hidden League)

But it just mixed up now! This year Barce is with Benfica! Why?

Sorry,but will you accept Chelsea,Liverpool and Arsenal are all knocked out in the first round they partcipate?(i.e. the 3rd round)

I still could not accept Crystal Palace winning Chelsea by 3:0!

a surprise here and there is OK but not each and every time. Big teams do meet each other as early as the 3rd round of the FA Cup. Arsenal played Liverpool last night and won! YIHHAAA! The draw for the FA Cup is random.

As for why your edits change. I too have edited my CL groups to have 2 top teams and 2 lesser teams. When you start a new career these will apply but as you move on this will naturally change. Also, if you start a career, then quit to main menu and start a new career without restarting FIFA 07 the teams will get randomly put into new groups. If you want to play with the groups you made, your have to start your career directly after booting FIFA 07.

Back to the results, as I said I dont mind a cup surprise here and there. The FA Cup and League Cup are known to be cups where big teams get surprised but my frustration is when through the duration of a long EPL season ManU is 15th and Liverpool is 12th and so on...just want consistent results.

what i did is i went into CM and made the the worlds best teams a lot better. they all have an average rating of over 90 now.

wat i did was i took all of Fanerbaces good players and put them to teams to make them stronger, so Fanerbac will lose, i also made rosenburg ridiculously awful, pretty much the teams with good sim records

Take a look at my 2 first seasons with Blackburn:

1 season:
Watford wins the Premier League number 2 is Everton.
Liverpool finish 17 place and relegates.

2 season:
Chelsea win PL (good) second place Watford!
Man U finish 16 place 1 point from relegateing.

Yah, EA needs to work on the statistics/probability weightings they use in their simulation process. I have noticed these skewed results as well.

Whoa there, please don't oversell my abilities to work this stuff out. Everything I've figured out about the game has been done on an empirical basis, generally by an intelligent interpretation of the data structures, their contents and the values that I see in the game. Occasionally I've had to resort to fiddling with .INI file parameters to understand what is going (eg. some aspects of team chemistry).

With simulation results there is patently an internal algorithm at work (with no obvious parameters in the .INI files to provide any means of tweaking it, and thereby observing how the code behaves) and by definition it includes a random element, so there is little that I could do to work out what is going on under the covers (I don't reverse engineer the executable code - that is too much like hard work).

A recent thread about the overallrating field in the teams table might provide some clues, but the only way to gain a fuller insight would be to tweak the FIFA.DB values, start a new career, and then spend a lot of time simming games to produce enough results to give a meaningful picture.

yeh tru sim results suck, the la liga however their sim is great ive always had RMadrid, Barca, Real Zaragoza, Athletica, Seville, Valencia, but the prem is terrible, it should always be Chelsea, Manu, Livpool, Arsenal, Bolton, Tottenham, Everton, they should always be the top 6-7

yeah, right now, in my season, liverpool is 10th or so and manu is 14th or 15th! that is just absurd. atleast chelsea is 2nd, with me being first with arsenal. i am going to start a new season with a good team, like arsenal again and sim all matches and see how it turns out.

Yeah, same thing happens to me. The annoying thing is Fenerbahce ALWAYS makes it to the CL final!!

Fenerbahce might be set with no country in the database which might explain it. They're in the Turkish league, but their nation is undefined, at least in the db I have. It's a patch but the original might have the same error.
