So Bush thought he'd drop by for a wee visit eh?

Well that little visit is going to cost the tax payer (that's you and me) 5 million pound. That's right, 5 million pounds of your hard earned cash is being spent on some president, who shouldnt even be president in the first place, so he can visit London a bit and feel safe.
I'm naturally a fairly relaxed and laid back person but this really gets me going.

I just hopes he gets his by a few tomatos...

5million pounds :|

Maybe they could of donated that money to starving Children in Africa, and Bush could of stayed in the US.

Did you see what his entourage consists of, even bigger than the one the English rugby team took to Aussie.... something like 3 jets, black hawk helicoptors, two identical motorcades, hundreds of 'special' agents etc. etc. etc.

Read a few interviews with mothers/ wives of slain British soldiers... apparently he was due to meet some of them and they were looking forward to giving him a piece of their mind, but now it has been made 'invitation' only... no prizes for guessing which widows won't be invited.

Has he actually met with ANYONE who has lost a relation in the war(s)?

PS. Tell the head chef at Buckingham Palace his favorite snack is pretzels :p

reminds me of robin williams:

'we spend billions of dollars on national security, f-18s flying over washington, men talking into their sleeve, and he goes down from ******* snackfood! does he need someone to sit next to him and yell 'CHEW SIR!' 'NOW FLUID SIR!'

haha

yeah i saw that theyre gonna have so much police there too, and then this lady yesterday goes and gets past them all and clings onto the gates :S

Aye some 61 year old woman climbed the gates of Buckingham palace, the coppers probably thought it was a laugh and let her go there:D
Either way an additional 5,000 police officers are patroling the streets of London, just for one man. Heh, if I was a copper I'd take bribes for anyone who wants to pelt Bush with tomatos:D

He has met with the families of those who have lost their lives in Iraq, but they were all American.

I'm just curious, but to all non-Americans here, who was the last American president you liked, or I guess didn't hate?

All of them? More than 400 families is quite a few, and I am certain not all of them agree with the way their loved ones perished...

Anyway, as far as US presidents go, I can only remember Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, and Bush 2. Quite frankly, I have issues with the way all of them have dealt with international affairs.

I think you meant fool

all I can say is Australia went through the same **** - something like 4million Australian dollars while the Chinese President got a car which he had to share with Coward (I meant howard).

Nope, he had the opportunity to do some good things but ultimately was submerged in the stupid Lewinski scandal. As much as i don't agree with what happened to him, he should have had the political nous to relaise how ****ed up the american media is and how desperate the Republicans were to discredit him. Ultimately he screwed up. He knew what the parameters were, and he crossed them. I am not saying the parameters are fair, but he should have just focused on the job at hand (no pun intended :D ) and not do anything stupid. But he did, and it came crumbling down.

Yup. We can't afford to put enough intensive care incubators in hospitals which led to one woman having to travel 275 miles to get the right care to give birth to her premature baby, yet we can spend £5m on the visit of a trigger-happy dumb-ass who isn't all that welcome in this country anyway.

The only decent president I can "remember" would have to be Clinton, at least he wasn't quite as trigger happy as bush, didn't look half as stupid, actually knew what he was on about, could point out Iraq on a map and actually did something in the Northern Ireland peace process.
