It's an AMD Athlon 64 x2 4000. (PC's with Intel seem to be quite more expensive than with Athlons) Would it be useful to upgrade to the 5000 model, a total of 5 gHz (it costs an extra 55€
-I haven't bought the PC yet, but I can pick it up when I decide to- I'm only gonna run FM anyway. I basically don't play any other games (I therefor didn't install a good graphics card, i am a student after all
)
I did manage to get a monitor for free though, so I have some more money to spend on the PC itself. It's a cool monitor, a CRT
. not those crappy flat screen TFT thingies.
I completely don't know if the motherboard I have is any good. A friend of mine works in a computer store and he composed a PC which would fit my needs. I only said I need a min. of 2gb RAM and a crappy gfx card.
the motherboard is called MSI K9AGM2-L AM2 AMD 690V DDR2 VGA
