So much for FIFA week this week

Hey guys,

I haven't heard many great news about FIFA this week like expected.

They haven't even set a specific date for the release on the U.S.

I did see the intro video and I hope they keep it the same way for the US version. The voice over says FOOTBALL when it shows all those great goals and celebrations and that's the way it should stay.

I already hate the fag cover they did for our market and sure hope they don't change the intro video... :kader:

Plus, it seems there hasn't been significant changes to gameplay, although it seems a bit more fluid than 05. It's not par to PES5, but because PES5 lacks so much umph and presentation, I think people are starting to choose the games they play more than just on gameplay... Which I think it should be that way, for a complete footy experience, not just inside the four-lines. :rockman:

PEACE out!

actually from what I saw in the videos, when you play a game in fifa it starts by showing the squad and then it shows the pitch and the poitisions of the players, well EA got that from PES, Plus in PES the hair don't look like plastic so I believe PES5 will own Fifa06 in anyway you put it

but again this is my opinion

We'll see

I think the games as far as gameplay are quite different. It seems to me that PES4 vs. FIFA 2005 showed the winner by far, being PES... :rockman:

This year it will probably be the same, but I'd have to say that I'll play FIFA more just because the overall footy experience is there, managing a team, players, listening to your team's chants and just the overall look of the game, it is modern, interactive and incorporates a lot more than PES. :jambo:

PES is only good for you to scream: Wow, that looked just like the real thing, while with FIFA you can cheer your team on throughout and it would probably be a lot more fun.

That's why I own both games, always have and always will.

I get the best of both worlds that way.... :hump:

that's right, no PES vs. FIFA talk

I wanted to see if anybody knew anymore news about the so-called FIFA week.

Every year it just makes me mad that EA makes a huge hype about FIFA and its all marketing because all those little things they list on their "NEW THIS YEAR" talk is just the same things they've always done and they only emphasize them a little more. :kader: :kader: :kader:

THe other thing I hate so much about this revealing of their new game is that they leave a bunch of stuff out of their talk because they've removed them from the game, but you won't know until you buy the game and want to kill them. :kader: :kader: :kader:

I mean where is the consistency with their game? You don't really know... if there's a feature you've learned to master like off-the-ball or some other stuff on the menus and in career mode and they just remove it, I mean that's just ridiculous, so I had to make a comparison to PES...

Except that I said they're different in the sense that PES only revamps something they know needs improvement whereas with FIFA they do it with pretty much everything so you might be playing 06 with features you saw back in 2003 or earlier and you have to relearn to use them all over again... :kader: :kader: :kader: :kader:

EA, be more consistent... and again SO MUCH FOR FIFA WEEK...
