Good review. I agree the major problem and very frustrating part of the game is that the midfield and defenders do not support the attack. This makes the game much less interesting as it does not matter how good your midfielders are at attacking if they never come up to support the strikers. In many real life games you have times when everyone drops back to defend or pushes up to attack. For me this almost makes the game worse than 2004 where the goal scoring production came from all players on the pitch.

The second thing I find frustrating is not being able to see the results of games you are not involved in. Not only can you not see the results you can?t see who the other teams play. I don?t know if this is true in career mode but because I want to play with Chelsea I?m playing in league mode. I thought the calendar feature in 2004 was very good.


Another weakness is when you play against the AI, 80% of the time the AI attacks with a cross from the wing into the box. This is nice as it never happened in 2004 buy honestly its way overused in 2005.

Agree with completely greg........just the same as my complaints..here is some more small things.....at the cross the computer obviously always scores at importent situations no matter what I have Puyol and Helugera at central defence..and some tiny weak attacker would come up and force a header on both of them........not only is the wing overused but often u see a wing defender being retarded and moving towards the middle front...........that makes life very difficult at hard times...like after u scored a goal..when the computer seems invincible at times.......yeah whats the point of having offensive defenders..if u will never see them beyond half field.......u want to see see good calendar..or stats..go 2003...2002....1998....
