Senior Squad
Hi everyone. Fifa Editor Tool has been released and allow to edit offline gameplay through lot of parameters inside the folder FIFA/Attribulator/Gameplay/groups
For all the ones that have edited this file in the past, should be convenient to have a place to share their knowlegde, research every param and try out some edits.
For example we can do something like this:
gp_physics - gp_physics_airflow_runtime - Airflow_viscosity = 1.87 (default value - change the viscosity of the air, how the air offer resistance to the ball)

Do you have some additional values for GP changes like how to get the damn defense back into my own half without that annoying wish to move forward again? It´s been just horrible since Fifa 20. And EA likes the spirit of their own imagination of score the hell out of a single 2x5 Minutes game with at least a score of 9 or 10 goals.
I don´t want to change your thread into a request one, so I hope you don´t mind my curiousity about some GP basics I asked you. ;-)

Yeah, just had a bit of time to enjoy FIFA. AttribDB file has a lot of parameters and i've seen a parameter in the cpuai section about the "urgency" of a player to move in a position, need to try and see how it works. In the gameplyzed DB I've tried to mitigate that problem by assigning more high values to defensive workrate to various playing styles and less high values to offensive workrate, just on few player styles as for example box2box midfielders that move often between back and forward.

Yesterday I played with your Squad File. Feels really good. The shots are something you have handled very well. I saw distance shots from AI. Man that is long time ago I can´t remember in which older Fifa it was there too. ;-)
The gameplay is very fluid. But AI dribbling annoys and annoys me still. The movement of the Players are too fast imo. Just feels unnatural. If there will be a way to slow down the game speed/Tempo I would enjoy the game much more. I refer to the usual Gameplay of Fifa 23, it´s not critism to your edits.
I feel and saw your edits impact of course. I remember you played without Slider movement back or for in your Fifa 18 gameplayzed Squads. So I can imagine you play Fifa 23 in the same manner?!
Anyway, I play with acc. set to 43 and sprint to 17. I hope I didn´t mismatch the 2 Values. Shot power default. Pass error higher on both sides. But it didn´t lower the general game pace.
I am aware your have written it´s a first attempt with random assignments to the Players stats and their traits. So for me your start is very good. Easy to see your experience.
So I am really curious for your second mod. To lower the stats from particular Abilities of an Player should settle the game and movement speed of the Players down. Just an wish from me or is that not possible.
I know from Fidels DB´s when he lower speed and acc. or setting balance to 1 and choose the right traits for a single Player it effects the animation of Players in a very good manner. Just smoother and not so kinda hectic like there was on red bull drinks. :-)
Fifa 23 modding is still young, so many will try their hands on gameplay modding like in Fifa 22 season.
You mentioned the new gameplay strings find in Frosty Mod Editor this time. So great new opportunities.
For me, when I saw all those Variables in Frosty Editor tool I get confused. So I have not the patience for testing, playing, changing Values, testing again etc. :-)
So I am always greatful there are modders like you who have the understanding and patience to create useful mods.
Will later that day go on and play more games with your Squad. I also like the formations you have edited for the teams. Just looks closer to real soccer than the EA default ones.
Just one last thought: Do you think it´s possible to have some entrys in the locale.ini to get more effect in direction Player speed, game speed or marking the Strikers of the AI etc.
What I personally noticed in the last years of Fifa games is, that in previous Fifa´s the effect with the Variables and Values set in the locale.ini had more influence than in newer Fifa´s. I remember in Fifa 19 I played with Supernova´s Squad and locale.ini or campeador´s own edits on Supernova´s locale.ini and it was a huge gamechanger for me. In Fifa 20 to Fifa 23 the effects gone more and more in direction useless. Like I mentioned, just my personal thoughts...

One way is to edit the attribdb file (see the other thread I've created). But I get it. I'm trying to slow down the game, trying to make the cpu handle the ball for longer time, maybe walkon the pitch with it and then pass, in order to avoid the ping pong or the tiki taka. Also the user should do that in order to be pressed and gain some fouls.

Many thanks for your replies. Yesterday I could note the locale parameters are not working. I couldn´t see the confetti on the Pitch and also some goalnet strings won´t work like they do in previous Fifa´s.
So I should avoid that editing yesterday with Frosty Editor Tool in the locale.ini section. :-)
The Edit section for the initfs File is useless too? Fidel made the last 2 years edits in his GP mod inside the initfs I know. Not only confetti works, also his edits had an effect.
About your wish to collaberate with other GP modders here in your thread I wonder a bit that there is still that silent. Last Fifa Season there were many Conributers with many edits and mods for Gameplay.

If you don´t mind I wanna ask you if you ever had an Account at EvoWeb Forum? In their Fifa Section is much more traffic for Fifa 23 topics. Even Paulv2k have his own threads for his tool and his Gameplay mods. I am sure you would like the traffic there related to your gp topic!
I know 1 or 2 Guys who are willing to contribute related to findings and developing Fifa 23´s gameplay further. There is much more feedback for modders as here.
Just an suggestion because I wonder if you know the Fifa Section of EvoWeb. ;-)
If you are interested in I would pass you 1 or 2 links with Fifa 23 gp topics or the general Fifa 23 thread.

Yesterday I made some more matches with your Squad File. First some Serie A matches and later some lower league matches like in third division of Germany and England to see how lower stats Players act with your edits. But than I thought you didn´t edit those stats in your first Squad. Anyway, I was interested in general behaviour of the low stats Players. Unfortunetly the overpowered Gameplay from EA effects those pure devils too.
I can tell you without your Squad I would let Fifa 23 rest for a little while till good mods hopefully came out. But like I told you your Squad have very good effect of how I see and enjoy football games.
I have read your are planning to release a new Squad maybe next weak?! Curious how it plays.
Oh btw, Pauls Gameplay is enjoyable too, but unfortunetly only available with his own TOOL FMT.
But I made the experiment yesterday to play with Paul´s gameplay mod and your Squad. Not that bad!
I know in general it´s not a good decision to mix gameplay mods but hey I am free to test. :-)
It feels not that your Squad edits break the Gp mod from Paul. It enhance them imo. Till the moment I guess it´s useful to play with your Squad and Paul´s mod. Till you not add an gameplay attrbdb mod I guess it´s not breakable?? Correct me if I am wrong.
My summon experience from now up to 12 matches with 2x10 Minute halfs are the gameplay from EA lacks again of real life movement and tactical deepness. I know it´s not EA´s Vision to give the game more tactical deepness or the opportunity to have another match plan other than forward, forward, forward. But hope dies last. When I play PES 2021 I can clearly see what "playing Soccer" is meant. There are the square pass or the back pass into own defense back are just neccessary or you will get punished by AI for steady running and passing forward. PES have it´s own downers at least for me because other I would play only PES than Fifa and PES together. A nice little Hybrid of both Gameplay Visions would do the trick.
