And Donovan didn't have a problem cracking Europe, he's had a problem settling in Europe away from the person he has sex with (his sister), which is understandable for someone so devoted to incest. All of that must be true. But then again, just overlook other Americans like Reyna, O'Brien, Bocanegra, McBride, Beasley, and others.

erm...i av a big respect on korea NT. they're great and they can easily beat Malaysia for 5 or 6-0 even if they use the second team.

But. wait...i hate to say this but if u av ESPN Star at Korea, most of the analysis panel didnt like 'the way' Korea go to the semis. I don't blame the KOREA NT in this case but u guys shud remember that Japanese and Iran NT is better. No offence...but in Asian Cup 2004...they look really bad...maybe they can wake up in the next WC.

Now, Australia essentially has only had to win a two-leg playoff to qualify for the World Cup, yet they've managed to fuck that up more often than not. And, overcoming footballing giants like American Samoa and Fiji to get there must have been difficult as hell. Don't knock our competition when yours is even worse. Now, I'm sure you'll say that you still had a more difficult route to qualify for the Cup, because you had to play a South American team in a play-off. Well, last I checked, Mexico was one of the seeded teams for the upcoming WC draw, and our two matches with them have been crucial in deciding our qualifying campaign. So, essentially our campaigns have both involved playing a bunch of crap teams, and two games against a good team. Now, come back and talk to me when Australia has played in five straight World Cups, made the knockout round twice, and been a handball call away from possibly playing in the semi-finals. In other words, probably never.

oh yeah.... because you HAVE to beat mexico......... there aren't two and a half other places for you to fall back on at all.

if we had the luxury of losing to uruguay, losing to new zealand, losing to fiji and STILL getting a playoff against the likes of bahrain i can't imagine us ever missing out on a world cup


as for the "we didnt chose our confederation" arguement... i dont recall many of you being particularly accepting of it while oceania still had a direct entry

Sorry if this has been said but on liver soccernet presspass show, USA coach has remarked his comment on Australia and T&T as weak teams and corrected it by saying he meant although they were the last teasm to qualify they are good teams.

Quit your crying, go out and show us you deserve respect, it has to earned...and Australia hasn't earned a reputation of being a dangerous team just yet.

Teams like Croatia have nobody to fear, but respect all opponents..we learned the hard way.
