Some Speed Help

hi i'm playing pes 3 on low settings and i'm not getting the best out of the game i don't think as i don't think i have that bad hardware on my com if anyone could tell me what i can do heres my spec:

Nvidia GeForce4 MX 4000
76.3 gb hard drive
Microsoft XP
1.51ghz
AMD Athlon XP 1800+
512mb of Ram

officially (if you take a look on readme.txt) a 3D card with a Geforce4MX chip isnt supported in pes3.. the problem is, that pes3 needs a directx8 card to run optimal on your system. geforce4mx is more or less the same as geforce2mx but with higher clock settings and some chip intern tweaks.. but it doesnt support directx8 in hardware..

so if you want to play pes3 without slowdowns on your system, then you have to buy a new graphic card. for example an ATI Radeon 9600 or higher..

of course there are ways to increase speed ingame (such as doublespeed, cm4speeder etc.) but the most natural experience you have if you just change your GF4MX with an ATI Radeon 9600 or greater

if you want to stick with nvidia, i would buy a GeforceFX5900 XT

how much is the graphic card your talking about?

here in austria:

Radeon 9600 around 100€, Pro and XT versions >150 euros
FX5900 XT ... around 180€

and: do not buy any SE versions (e.g. 9600SE, or FX5700LE... ) usually they have only 64bit memory interface (like your current GF4MX 4000) or lower clock values..

he doesnt need a new video card for pes3. pes3 can run fine with low end systems as it doesnt take much juice to play it. make sure you have the best driver for your card as the newest ones arent always the best.
