Some teams names dont show ingame

I have a problems with some of the patches I have installed myself, some of the teams in some of the leagues I imported using CM09 dont show, they are just blank but the badges show. I have gone thru every team and retyped the names for all 4 sections but still they do not show. Any advice would be helpful. I went thru the CM post but found nothing about this.

I have experienced the same in fifa 07...( badges showing but no names )
At this time, I found that putting a locale ini file in the root directory with all available languages could solve the problem...
Try to put the file that I have attached in this post in your fifa root directory and tell me if it is working...If not, then I have no clue ...

Hi, Jomi is correct. You are probably missing the team name entries in your language database and it's possible that the patch you used had the entries added to a language that you are not using - Example, I use the eng.db. In the table, you can edit it with Rinaldo's database editor, there are 3 lines that need to be added/modified.

Here is the entry for Manchester City:

Manchester City is Team # 10 in the fifa.db so you need to add 10 in the textid. The last digit corresponds to how the names appear in the game menus - 0= Full Name/or long name (not quite sure), 1= short name, 2= Full Name or long name (again, not entirely sure). The textid is a constant length, so if your team is team number 9999 the first textid would be like this: 30099990

textid + string
30000100 = Manchester City
30000101 = Man City
30000102 = Manchester City

Your file completely fixed my issue, I have a ton of leagues and had about 20+ teams missing and your file fixed it, this should be on the must have downloads page. I cant imagine that this isnt a problem for many others. Thanks for fix.
