Maybe in your infinite wisdom you could then describe for us all exactly what a team has to achieve in order to be a "world class" or "top" team.

Haha, quite the flamewar, seriously though, we all know Football rules, which is why we are on this forum. But c'mon saying something like "American Football requires no skill" is just a rather abrasive way of saying "I don't like it."
I personally enjoy American Football (even though the Vikings SUCK), but I can't respect a sport with *commercial breaks* written in the rules (quarters, two-minute warnings to name a few) as much as I do real Football. Also American Football has way too much downtime. If some of you Europeans wonder why Americans can watch such a slow sport, grab an assload of beer and friends and watch it then you'll see.
Also I don't think Football is gaining popularity in America. The massive amount of fair-weather fans (not to mention the INSANE patrotism during that time) that peeked out during the World Cup already forgot what the sport is.
