Something Bizzare during Career Mode

I just finished playing my second season of career mode with Oldham Athletic (in which I got them promoted to the Premier League) but I decided to go to Germany and join FC cologne. Well as i searched the transfer market for some better players to with Podolski rather than Imre. I searched the market and found out that Drogba from Chelsea and Riise from AC Milan (dont ask me) and placed offers for both players well after my game I got information that both players rejected my offers, and shockingly when i checked out the negioation history page Drogba signed with Boston of England League 2. WTF is that about, how does a player the caliber and overall skill level of Drogba signs with the 4rth division British team. I wonder has anyone else came across anything absurd as this?

I was playing as Monaco at one stage and had a look at buying Robinho and saw he was playing in some team in the Swiss league and this was at the start of my first season so Real has obviously sold him on straight away.

At my game all the good players from Barça, Inter, and Atl. de Madrid are platying in the Brazilian League

Yeah, really stupid the way the transfers works in this Fifa, i was playing with Atl Madrid and I try to buy aimar, he rejected me and go to Olympiakos :rolleyes:

anyway, it's not that big of a deal, maybe the players 'enjoy' playing in one league more than the other, or you don't have as prestige as the other manager..

Yeah I'm now in my second year at Man U and was tryin to get hold of Ronaldinho and he's decided to jump over to Pohang Steelers, little early in his career to be put out to stud I think!!

i think that the whole mentality of making the transfer market competition more agressive went the wrong way that the designers wanted it to be. Rahter than making teams from the more competitive leagues such as Budesliga, Serie A, Premiership, La Liga and Ligue 1 fighting for players the system went to flats with the players not caring for their own professional club careers. Hopefully that would be fixed in next years game.

What's the deal with Boston being able to pay for Drogba? Surely he wouldn't want to go to start with, but obviously Boston have to pay his wages and transfer fee. Drogba taking a pay cut AND Chelsea selling him for whatever ridiculously low fee? Or are there Bosmans this year? :rolleyes:

i dont know but what i offered him before he decided to sign for boston would have made him the second highest player on the team except that he was rated 81 when i checked out his stats, maybe Chelsea changed their policies to sign only 85 and higher players. But to have a good ending to this story i didnt save the game and when i reloaded the game today and played the match at the end he signed. Good thing cause the next game against Hanover he scored 2 goals he he..............

Yeah, all the good players go to bad clubs, Ronaldinho plays for Brescia, Gerrard for Goteborg, i am a 6 level manager now and the good players go everywhere except to me.

im in season 12 and all the good players have been on the team they started with... some moved on during the 6th or 7th season but the epl stayed the same for a the most part, not alot of moves

Drogba had a drug problem and Chelsea released him, so he was a drug addict for a while and was desperate for a contract by a club. So he made a deal with Boston since they already have plays with drugs problems(Gazza).
So it was settled he then signed over to Boston for 5 pounds and a years supply of cr*ck cocaine :gavin: .
Of course I'm just joking, in FIFA 05 the problem was players retiring too early now it's bad transfer deals. (:/)

lol... thats classsic stuff... i actually have never seen the case where a player would retire early its usually if the payers have fallen out of favor with the team, take my career right now, i have brought in two good young midfielders and have been using them alot more since they have been more effective, in the effect the older players who have lost their place i either sell or if i still use them as subs retire the next season...

I like this system except for the fact that my budget is currently equal to my sponsership and I can never make any extra money unless I am playing at home :nape:
