From what I've seen it look absolutly amazing. If its about £200 when it first comes out all you have to do is wait for a month or so and it should go down considerably

They're really different devices though. DS is aiming for gameplay innovation, and PSP for visual quality. DS will have original games, where PSP might be going GBA, and have only ports with a couple of new games...
Also, DS costs 'only' half of what the PSP costs.

I've heard that in the first batch of PSP, the games would 'pop' out while your gaming...and i've seen the video of this happening..so no matter what, do not get the first batch..;)

I think PSP is going to be as similar to the GBA as possible. The only exception is changing of names (WipeOut Pure, Metal Gear Solid Acid, etc..)

I'm suprised that noone has mentioned that PSP will have portable versions of both Fifa and Winning Eleven. Winning Eleven PSP is the main reason I'm buying it.

it is already out in japan, it will be out in europe and north america in teh spring of 2005. I can't wait, this is an amazing device. Although it has the same graphics as ps2, which is still amazing

I didn't realise untill recently. The fact that you can play PES/WE on it has tipped me over into buying one. Imagine being sat on a train with your mate playing a ML versus game. Perfection has arrived.

(From what I've heard its only gonna cost about £200 too!)

Don't waste your money. You're basicly paying for a PS2, DVD player, and a half-assed mp3 player crammed in a piece of hard plastic.

Wait until the price drops, at least. I won't be surprised if the PSP flops a la N-Gage.

I think the Nintendo DS is gonna be first to flop. The dual screen thing is one of those gimmicks that are cool for about 10 mins..

Anybody actually bought this thing?? i was thinking of getting one but i wanted to know more about it. Anyone that has it wan to tell me the good things and the bad things, how long does it stay on before you gotta charge it, how long does it charge. etc.

If Pes/WE and FM 2006 come out on it than i will buy it for sure.

Socrates: ePinions.com should have the + and - sides to PSP.

Yeah, things like that don't have that ''lasting appeal'' to it.

And why anyone would shell out $150 for it is beyond me. That Wario game was mind-numbing to say the least.
