Spain in 2007 Copa America????

I agree. It should just be the whole AMERICA cup. then the Copa America title would be usefull.
It should be every 4 years too. I think thats about right. It should be in the same year as the Euro's are (obviously)
It would be more pretigious if it had the best 20 teams from America. Invite Canada instead of Spain, and all the little central american countries as well as jamaica and t&t and we'd be all set.

wait now that I think about it.....Brasil vs. jamaica, Argentina vs. guatemala, and Uruguay vs. panama still doenst seem interesting.
But ITS BETTER THAN WHAT WE HAVE

dumb idea

why not invite brazil for the next euro championship? :|

because Europe has tons of countries participating in the euro championship whereas Copa America is always 'short' in competitors

Maybe is not followed by you, but when there is a World Cup, there are 6-10 millions of spaniards watching TV

compare any spain game with an important liga or cl match. There are always more news, rumours, tv coverage... for any club game.

Because it is the Copa America, we should include countries that had a great influece on North and South American culture for example:

France (Brazil, Canada)
Spain (almost every American country)
Italy (Argentina)

Just an idea. (Y)

I think you mean....

France (Argentina, Canada)
Spain (Almost every American Country)
Italy (Argentina, Uruguay)
Portugal (Brasil)
Germany (Argentina, Uruguay)
England (Argentina)

and the Euro Cup is a serious thing :p

if youre in Europe

but I know what you mean. It seems as if Euro is more important. I think they are equally competitive. Thats why I think the Copa AMERICA should include of the AMERICAs

Equally competitive? You mean that tournament where countries send their second string teams, right?

It might not be competitive in that sense, but it still is a fun tournament to watch. In the last Copa America (Peru) not all the teams had their 'A' squad, yet I had way more fun watching it than watching the Euro Cup.

yeah i remeber some of the posters and i mean europeans posting how it was better to watch the copa america than seeing some boring 0-0 in the euro cup.

and they are both equally competitive but not important. i mean brazil with their u-23 still showed heart.

Besides, the spanish NT isn't really followed in Spain. Supporters are more faithful to their clubs than to the NT. I don't think many supporters would care about it.

True, very true. The proud for Spain NT amongst fans is having a diminished one.
