Nakamura's a top, top quality player. The only genuinely excellent signing Celtic have made this summer.

Anyway pasion1, don't bother looking forward to that. Hearts ALWAYS drop points. Believe me, this club's reputation was made on the cruellest of narrow losses in the league. :(

Similar to 86 ending with Celtic taking it by goal difference right? I heard about that.

Yes. We also lost the League in 1965 on the last day at home to Kilmarnock - at that time, Goal Average was the way things were settled if points were level. If goal difference were in place, Hearts would have won the league! Ironically, if Goal Average was in place in 1986, Hearts would have won the Title!

'86 naturally is the one that really scars deep in the Hearts fans' mentality though. You know, St Mirren (who Celtic played on that last day, and won 5-0) had a couple of players who did the lap of honour with the Celtic squad when they received their title that day! :hit: (N)

Jambo post the starting eleven and the players who scored. With Jankauskas and Fyssas joining Hearts, im always curious about your teams result. Thks in advance.

Sure thing Vinnie Jones:

Dundee Utd. 0-3 Hearts

6' Pressley
12' Bednar
90' Skacel

Hearts:

Gordon (gk)
Neilson
Fyssas
Pressley
Webster
Skacel
Brellier (Wallace)
Hartley
Mikoliunas (McAllister)
Jankauskas (Pospisil)
Bednar

Fyssas seemed to fit in well. You could tell he wasn't quite match fit yet (First game from the Confederations Cup?) but he dealt with everything thrown at him reasonably comfortably. Dundee Utd pose quite a threat down his area of the pitch, so he adapted well in his debut. Did well without ever really excelling.

Jankauskas (who got KO'd by a full force Bednar volley in the warm-up, skelped right on the back of the heid :D) didn't have a good game at all. Flick-ons were misplaced, groggy first touch and stupidly dived for a penalty when the referee today was not giving us one thing. Pospisil, his sub looked very lively when he came on and began to tilt the game back in our favour towards the end. Jank though certainly flattered to deceive today.

That ok for ya? :)

That´s excellent Jambo, thks alot. If you could do this for every official Hearts game, i would appreciate it. Hearts has gained some new followers with these recent signings. If you had bought a portuguese player it would be even more interesting :p .
I do know that Falkirk who was beat by Celtic this weekend has two ex lower league portuguese players (Vitor Lima and Tiago Rodrigues), i doubt that they will make any impact but i´ll follow their careers anyways.
You guys have an easy fixture next weekend? With the Old firm derby next week, it would be nice to pick up all three points to put the pressure on those respectives teams. Anyways carry on with this impressive campaign, your team has my support. Janks will score soon :)

Latapy? Of course, i remember him, he played in my team Académica de Coimbra and in Fc Porto on Bobby Robson´s coaching days. Rofl he still plays? i wonder how old he is.

He can't be far away from picking up his pension, that's for sure!

Anyway, well done on choosing the wacky rollercoaster that is supporting Heart of Midlothian. :D

Rofl believe me i do know what is like to support underdogs. Im not a Fc Porto, Benfica or Sporting fan, i´m an Académica de Coimbra fan ( it´s a football club affiliated with the oldest university of Europe, Coimbra). In the past we were a pretty decent club, had a couple of european competitions participations and some domestic cups won but now we struggle not to get relegated. But i don´t care, im proud of my team anyways. I go to every home game and occasionally to away games. This is my club´s website . Cheers.
