Picked up a Daily Star in the pub last night and was amused to read this by Chick Young - The Voice Of Scottish Football :

It's over, Jambos

It has been a joyful brief encounter. But now Hearts can pucker their lips for a farewell kiss to an unbeaten record and the SPL lead. I fear they will parachute gently downward in the wake of today's events at Celtic Park. It was never going to last. Fate has not been kind to them, I concede. Injuries to key players and suspension for Craig Gordon have played into the hands of Celtic. The Hearts squad is shallower than Big Brother. Celtic will today hit the top of the league for the first time since Gordon Strachan arrived.

The Legend
Banks really convinced me this match, cleared my doubts about him.

Results at both OF grounds, Hearts are the real thing.

After watching the game, ve come to the conclusion that Neil Lennon is officially holding back this current Celtic team and its devolpment, he is way to negative and defensive, sure he has the passion i wish every Celtic player had but i think the timehas come for him to move on.

and Rangers against United, haha its like 3years since theyve beaten them in the league or something like that. :boohoo:

Yes Hearts are sticking in there and hopefully they will cos 1997/98 has been the best season in the last 20 years.

One thing though, they haven't been to both Old Firm grounds yet, they have still to go to Ibrox but the way Rangers are playing that might not be the ultimate challenge it once was.

Just seen bits of Celtic v Hearts on TV and strictly speaking Hearts' goal should have been disallowed.

Celtic goalie Artur Boruc had two hands on the ball and Skacel knocked Boruc's arm and the ball spilled out. Then Skacel scored.

A win for Celtic would've been a wee bit harsh on Hearts though.

everybody in scotland who like football (apart from those rangers fans who think its funny to wear england tops as a sign of so-called "britishness") would say the same as gordon. football thrives on rivalry and they hate us and we hate them. simple as that!

ROMANOV BID WINS CHAIRMAN´S BACKING

Chairman George Foulkes acclaimed "one of the greatest days for Hearts" as Vladimir Romanov launched his bid to become the Tynecastle club´s outright owner.

Romanov, who became the largest shareholder in the club in February this year with 29.9%, increased his stake to approximately 55.5% and has offered 35p per share in an attempt to augment his holding. The Lithuanian is hoping to take his shareholding up to 90%, but once he reaches 75% it means he effectively becomes the owner and can de-list the club from the Stock Exchange.

:rockman: :rockman: 1-0 ......Hearts just wont die

Rangers tied...LIVINGSTON! they are out of the league as far as I can see (Playing horribly.......even if Hearts were to fall in a few weeks, Celtic probably wouldnt.)

We got the 3 points, but that performance was extremely unconvincing. Killie could very well have gotten something from tonight. Good to see Jankauskas grab a goal too, but as Burley pointed out previously, a couple of injuries and our squad is fecked.

How bad are we? Time for McLeish to move on.... which will probably be in the not to distant future:

Bratislava Away
Aberdeen Home
Celtic Away
Celtic Away
Porto Away
Hibernian Away

You know what? Its true that only 1 of these 3 teams is playing Champions League: Rangers. If they werent theyd be doing much better IMO.

Using the CL card is a cop out. Celtic have done well in Europe for the past number of season and even when Rangers werent we never used it as an excuse, but it definatly gives us an advantage in terms of match fitness.

I think its time for this photo to make a comeback (H)
