I have to confess I don't know much about Joao Moutinho - other than he's rated very highly. As for Nani, I hope he stays - now Cristiano as gone I reckon Nani will be given his chance, he's certainly talented enough.

But still I liked Matias, he made some good moves, and some of the shots that he made looked dangerous, I wait more for him, he needs more time with the team.

Well, I was getting started to do a Sporting CP topic, after all those tiring exams I finally had some time. But I'm happy to see someone did it. Great job

About yesterday, it was a loss, but after all it is only pre-season. The positive was Djaló runs, Carriço (this guy brings so much to the defensive line) and Moutinho. The negative was Polga, Abel and Postiga. The team is still playing a very direct game, with Liedson and Djaló assuming the role of starting the plays. It shouldn't be like that, it should be Matias or Moutinho assuming the ball.

Also, Veloso looked confident. Let's hope this year is finally his year.

I don't think we are main contenders. I think it's going to be a very even year. Well, Porto lost some main players, and may still lose B.Alves. Benfica has a new coach, many new players, and they need to adapt themselves. Sporting maintains the same structure, the fundamental players and adds talent (Matias), but still, the team need some tweaks. Left and right back, for example. Grimi/Caneira or Abel/P.Silva aren't great players for a club who wants to play in CL and win the championship. Oh, and a new forward would be nice as well. Postiga

We're done! Now with Izmailov out for 10 weeks, we just lost a great part of our hability to play by the wings.
If our game was already mostly done by the centre, now with Matias and without Izmailov, it's bye-bye crosses to Liedson's headers, at least until October.
I just hope I'm wrong...
