1 day before the official release of PES3 on PC in Uk, so I decided to phone a few retailers this am to see who would have it.

Results as follows

1. Virgin - "oooh thats strange, says here thats its out tomorrow but no orders coming. Never seen that before, very strange. Sorry, can't help you, but we won't have it as its not listed as ordered.

2. Game - "Due out tomorrow am, did not arrive this am and don't actually know if there will be any tommorrow either."

3. PC World - " Got it for PS2 but its not out on PC I'm afraid"
"yes it is tomorrow", I replied.
"sorry no record of that and its not showing as
pending or ordered"

Talk about a nightmare, no wonder FIFA's inferior product outsells PES every year. Looks like tomorrow may pass without getting hold of a legal copy.

There's 2 Game stores where I live, this morning one knew absolutely nothing about it coming out on pc, and refused to confirm it was being released at all, despite my assurances, the other has had delivery but won't sell till tomorrow. Wtf? It seems a lot of these stores don't know their arse from their elbow.

Agreed, but when other stores don't know as well, konami must take some resp. All the stores knew when FIFA 2004 was out.

Will have to make do with PES 3 without foreign commentary for the time being!

well here most stores didn't have a clue when fifa was coming out either. they kept saying if its not here tomorrow then it should be here in the next week. no such probs with PES3(on ps2).

my experience with the likes of Game or PC World is they tend to know absolutely sh*t about release dates on games.

Just rung my local "Game" store and they didn't know about it.

PC World are usually the worst when it comes to this kind of thing - I find that they don't get high profiled titles on their shelves come release day whereas all the other computer game shops do.

Last game I bought, I even rang them up to confirm they had it

"yes sir, we have it in stock"

- get there and it's "no sorry sir, it's not out yet"

So I went into town and sure enough every game shop had it

And PC World are supposed to be the utilmate PC gaming resource?

They are just a bunch of F*ckwits

went into game in Mansfield tonight and it was on the shelf at the back and was for sale! Though the assistant couldn't find it until the manager told him!!
