Not sure what I think aobut Guarin. We clearly need someone, but he has never caught my eye and from what I know about him he doesn't sound like he'd be a major improvement. 15-18m on a stopgag is eerily similar to that Meireles deal we did which didn't go that well. Perhaps the thought is to bring Guarin in, transition Essien and Lamps out while van Ginkel/Romeu/Chalobah/anyone vies for a spot, and still have someone at their prime as backup.

In other news, Kakuta wants to leave, not that surprised and don't think there's any point in hanging on to someone who, at 22, can't get a starting spot at a Dutch club. Fuck, Piazon is younger than he is and he's tearing it.

Hope KDB gets loaned to a good Bundesliga club and doesn't get too discouraged. There was a silly rumor that I quite liked, though, about us giving KDB plus cash for Draxler. I think KDB could one of the best players in our squad one day, but there's no denying that Draxler is both yuonger and better, left-footed (and therefor has a clearer path to a starting spot on the right (although Mou would need to help him out since he's not good there)), is stronger and tracks back better.

Arsenal on Monday, I'm not very optimistic, but I do think we can beat them and we need to beat them if we want to turn this season around.

He is, but he is still with U-18 and there are plenty of players in front of him like Lewis Baker, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, McEachran, Chalobah, etc. Has promise though.

Chalobah's whole loan sitaution was a major gaffe this year. Should've been sent to a Prem club, or, as you said, Watford.
