Like, down as in they are no longer winning 10 straight like they were doing in the beginning of the Serie A.

They broke all personal records, some serie A records and still won't anything kind of heartbreaking. They will get plundered for players, be found out, struggle to perform on multiple fronts and slide down the table and probably not even make the CL

who have Roma sold and failed to replace in the new era? which window have they failed to reinforce in so far?

García has an excellent relationship with the new recruits and team leaders alike ... he knew Totti was the way to winning the dressing room ... he's got Pjanić asking for a contract renewal -- even if they eventually lose him to PSG, they're likely getting Pastore plus a big sack of cash in return ...

if they sell more than they buy in the summer, then it's fair to say they can't maintain their level ... but they beat Man Yoo to Strootman last summer, paying the €17M demanded for him ... and they won the local race for Nainggolan to further strengthen their already strong midfield, which ended up being a necessary move ... and they've got the Nike sponsorship starting next season too, which will further help their financial strength ...

This is italy. You aren't going to be able to keep anyone who is halfway decent and not Italian for more than a few years. Roma have peaked too early

4. Terry
5. Cech
6. Cahill
7. Willian
8. Ivanovic

I'd probably even put Cesar over hazard, especially considering he's technically been playing out of position

Chelseas best this year.

Jose second best by a landslide.

Touché, he's done so well this year I'd forgot it wasn't the first. I'll revise it, then:

1. Willian
2. Bale
3. Guardiola
4. Tevez
5. Cavani. Maybe Strootman? Roberto Martínez?
It Matic wasnt cup tied we would have won CL.

Is that the only way Chelsea can buy strikers? Torres, Ba, it was the same thing.

he's brazilian, but he lived his whole life in Spain right?
lets hope he'll adapt well to the premier league.

Too bad if it's true, but it is bound to happen. :( It's a shame when smaller clubs who can't afford to pay bigger salaries to their players (or are in debt) get their top performers lured away by bigger clubs (moneywise) after a great season. Last years' Dortmund springs to mind, and this time it's Atlético, and have to look for replacements again. But that's football for you.

Edit: While watching the second leg of Chelsea - Atleti, i remember a commentator talking about Courtois and how influential he's been for them, and one of them jokingly saying that he's probably thinking why should i go back to Chelsea when i'm playing for a better team.

Yeah most likely, i wonder who are they planning to get as a replacement. They are well known for their ability to find quality strikers who fit their system, and with Simeone as the manager it shouldn't be a problem, even if it's means changing their playing style system a little bit.

Koke is another one who'll probably be on lots of clubs' radar this summer.
