[STORY] How the mighty have fallen

Yep. Thought I'd make my mark on the Stories forum by being the first one here. No thrills, really. Here's my career so far:

23/2/02 - Hired as US Manager
26/6/02 - Qualified for 2nd Round of Korea/Japan 2002
29/6/02 - Knocked out of WC2002 by Paraguay
20/7/02 - Hired as Austria Manager
4/10/03 - Qualified for Euro 2004
15/6/04 - Knocked out of Euro 2004 at Group Stage

4 months after the exit, I resigned from the Austria post. I'd grown tired of watching the side struggle to beat small fish in the big sea of global football. With the axe dangling above my head, I watched as our side was crushed 3-0 by Turkey in a WC 2006 qualifier. I jumped ship to spare the embarrassment of the boot.

After many attempts to get a job, my prayers were finally answered on Boxing Day 2004.

Bury came forward and asked me to sign for them. They had one simple request:

"SAVE US!"

The club was in financial turmoil and we're struggling at the wrong end of Division 3.

Bottom club with a mammoth 8 point gap. I've risen to the challenge. With no transfer funds, I'll stick with what I've got.

Let's hope we aren't in the Conference next season.

We lost our match against Shrewsbury at Gay Meadow in a poor performance. The 2-1 scoreline didn't exactly help our survival chances.

This, however did:

My first home game and a first home win against Hartlepool

No it was Guardiola's regen. Very chuffed to have him on loan. The party stops here though. I got rid of the file.

Couldn't be a***d with another season at Bury. Might do a Newcastle story next since I've had a class season with them.

Team Captain
man, I dont know how you guys do so well with these lower league teams... I dont know much (or anything at that) about lower league teams, so I'm pretty much going nowhere... I'm only good with Milan, i even sucked with Man U... i've got a looooong way to go before i can reach your calibres :kader:

I admit, I look amazing on paper...but my whole career's been with Milan, so i cant brag just yet ;)
