Hello once again! This time i am presenting you STR Exporter, the ultimate tool for converting STR Files(EA Sports sounds/audio files including chants, commentary, specific chants for teams/players) to WAV files!

Exporting the player commentary (player.str) results in the same static and garbage as it does by using sndview directly. Any clues?

As far as I know... nothing works on the player commentary files....

because i presume that this program is just a frontend for sndview, since Hrvoje asked how to export .str just yesterday...and i told him sndview

You're absolutely right, it's a GUI for sndview. Nothing wrong with that, but it still doesn't do what I hoped it would do.

I second that motion.

Hrvjoe's tool is great for what it is, but it doesn't do what I want. I've been trying to crack the players' names out of FIFA 2000 (last time there was a Canadian team without "Player 12" filling out the roster), but it don't work... and I've tried sndview, NHL Ditty, gfxpak and even trying to trick Taz's old Speech Editor into doing it. Nothing works... as Herc mentioned elsewhere I think, the players.str has a different compression for which there is no generic tool for.

yeah i kknow it´s old but i must have this tool for convert some .str. files maybe someone can send it to me or give me a corect link for downloading on Fifa Webportal i can´t find the STR Exporter

FCDBXP 2003 works for players commentary.
