Substitution crashes!!!

Game crashes during substitutions depending on the player.

With some players everything works but with some players, where I have changed their face, the game will sometimes crash. Is there a fix for that?

For example, I was playing with Sporting Lisbon. At the 64th minute i wanted to bring out Purovic (for whom I replaced the face with a 2G face from this forum) to replace Djalo and the game crashed. Seems like everytime i try to bring in Purovic, the game crashes. However it doesn't crash if he starts the game and I replace him with someone else later on. Only crashes if i bring him him during the game.

This happens to some other players as well. What can i do? is there a fix?

All my faces were added through CM. I have over 400 faces but most work fine. This only happens with certain players.

The game doesn't freeze and I'm not using a hair texture. I didn't like the hair so I removed it.

Could that be the problem? because players who shave their heads also don't have a hair texture and they work fine.

Can anybody plz provide solution to this problem, I installed 3 faces manually and My fifa is crashing, when i am substituting one of those players

I'm going to have to join this little group by saying I'm afraid to substitute any players at all since I installed the euro2008 face patch, which basically involves every player I use in my 11 :innocent_smile_1:

Previously, it crashed if I took out Mutu (custom face/hair), so I just didn't substitute him. But now, I've got too many customised players :nape:

I've pretty much the same problem - except my new players' hair and faces are both matching, and my problem ONLY HAPPENS WHEN QUITTING A GAME.

I edited Gael Clichy, Eduardo and Abou Diaby's faces on CM 08, making sure they matched their ID numbers, and when I started a game with their new faces, I made three subs as early as possible, then kicked it out for a throw in. My game MANAGED TO CONTINUE, however, when I tried to quit it, the game crashed!

Help, please, anyone?

ive installed the euro2008 face patch and after checking it i must say all of the files needed for each face are present and accounted for. I would say it would be worth adding a blank hair file for those custom faces as I'm sure having no hair texture is bad for the game.

I have found however in previous patches, hashing/replacing wasnt correctly scripted on install and either old textures were still mishmashing with new ones or bits were just plain missing.

The prolem is due to the different size of face and hair textures between the substituted and the substituting players. It causes a memory overlap in FIFA.exe and the result is unpredictable (crash, lock or simply a bad graphic effect) I strongly recommend to have all the face textures 2g and the hair textures 1g, as in the orginal FIFA08. This make all the players compatible also with the original generic players.
