Hagi was injured last year until the semi finals of uefa cup. so after all not just cause of Hagi. against PSG Hagi did not play, and Taffarel played only the 2 games of the CL this year. so know waht u r talking about before u make a comment.

ohh i forgot to indicate this, when gs lost 3-0 to strum graz, gs had 8 players injured.

now some italian guy tells me if one injured player recovers in milan then milan will play better. now we r talking about 8 players r missing from gs starting squad. but that italian guy mentions only "one" player being injured in the milan's squad. there is a great amount between 1 and 8. so how do u think gs whould perform when missing 8 players or any other team?

chris: actually, due to Turkish league's poor ranking (18th) in 1999, only 4 clubs represented Turkey in 00/01 season. Gala's win of UEFA Cup made Turkey 7th in Europe, and obviously next season they are going to have more clubs in the cups...


Russia's risking to loose the clubs in the EuroCups. Too bad, we were 7th.. now 9th.. If Loko would pass Rajo Vallecano, we would move to 7th. All hopes are for Spartak! At least, unlike me, Spartak's coach is optimistic, he even said that Spartak will surely move to the next stage after loss at Lyon 3:0. He is one of the best managers in the world, so that's comforting.. Watch out for Russia next year!

Anybody here saying that GALATASARAY is good because of the foreigners: LOOK AT REAL MADRID,AC MILAN,BARCELONA...ANY TOP TEAM OF ITALY AND SPAIN... HOW MANY ITALIAN OR SPANISH PLAYERS ARE IN THEIR STARTING ELEVEN? ONLY ENGLISH TEAMS HAVE SO MUCH PLAYERS FROM THEIR COUNTRY...GALA HAS MOSTLY 4 SOMETIMES 5 FOREIGNERS OF STARTING 11 WHICH MEANS MORE THAN HALF OF THE TEAM IS TURKISH!!! LEARN BEFORE U SPEAK!!!

I have to say I'm sorry that Srbenda made you think we're racists here (not saying that he isn't), but I have to say I'm very glad that other nations are present in the top class football (before this GS win it was Red Star, who won the last trophey, and didn't came from ITA/ENG/GER/SPA/etc. that was in 1991, but in RS in 1991, all of the players were Yugoslavs then), but GS is doing it the way all those rich clubs, from above mentioned countries, are doing, so it's still: bring the stars to the club, and then you'll win the tropheys, I hope it will change someday

did u read the previouse post? gs has 4 forainer starters. in the turkish league u r not allowed to bring more than 5 forainers to the club. u r wrong, pls know what u r talking about when u r making a comment. and red star had Panchev and croatian players.

gs is not like milan, barca, madrid etc who owns 10-20 forainers. gs is almost a pure turkish team. all we have jardel, tafarel, hagi, and popescu, the rest r turks. we also have capone but he rarely plays.

now u know what gs got in their squad.
