Both counrties should be punished. I put the swiss more at fault, mainly for booing a natinal anthem. Anyone who boos an anthems as lost any respect I have for them.

What happened in the end wasn't that bad (well bad but not horrific), things could have easily gotten worse and thankfully they didn't.

I want you to notice that Turkish FANS did nothing bad to swiss footballers (except throwing eggs at their bus, which didn't hurt them) and the fight was between both side's footballers.

well you may not be happy with your national anthem because the queen has the england although she shouldn't.But we kicked the imperialist asses of English, French and Greek armies then, and we lost 34.000 people; so we are proud and sensitive about our national anthem.

I appreciate that other countries anthems carry a lot of sentiment and deep meaning.Unlike ours.But still,just because someone boo's your anthem,its no reason to want to kill them man.Again you are taking this too personally.It is NOT a slur against your country or its people It is just a way that rival fans try to piss you off,and it pisses you off every time.So the other fans succeed in their intention.Man the Turks do it to everyone elses anthems too,but do they give a s.h.i.t? No they dont.

And as for Turkish fans doing nothing at the game.....Missiles were thrown at every Swiss player who took a corner that night.The torrent of missiles that rained down on the players as they ran to the tunnel was also terrible too.The Turkish fans did plenty wrong mate.It's on film so its silly to deny it.

Now ya see, If Europe is going to work we can't have bitchfights amongst one another like this, remember we've already had to endure 2 wars; If we have mentality problems with certain fans who are too ultra-nationalist to enjoy &/or comment on a quality football game with peace & order in mind, then they specifically should be dealt with. Not a whole country based on the generalisation plea...

I'm surprised to hear reports of zenophobic (well sentimental attack on another country) violence coming from a neutral country, but if it's true, shame on those fans. Also shame on the coach who started the postmatch ruccus in the second leg. Both teams are at fault. In fact, Shame on anyone who either condones, takes part in or tries to inflame this bonfire... That's becuase we all believe in the good of football. Do we remember the 3rd place playoff @ Korea/Japan. I certainly do..

I'm most happy to hear the result 4-2 lots of goals, now that's a football match !

Congrats to Switzerland but it's sad to not see Turkey in Germany nxt year.

Also i think there's a distrust factor here, and its all got to do with migrant intergration. & It's occuring across much of Europe, unfortunately. Some Germans against thier former allys the Turks, the French Riots, & football rascism in Spain. Again, can't we just all get along? & if we can't why shouldn't we?

yes but what he meant that nothing happened to the players from those missiles. Don't get me wrong again, we do admit all that, it was discussed exactly what happened in that game with the sports writers.
