Tactics question

Rayzor127

Hi,

I tried searching but did not find the answer to my question. I did find tutorials on this subject but it didn't make sense to me.

I can bring up the offence tacitics:

Do I press just 1 of the tactics during gameplay? I see that I can highlight more than one tactic at a time - what effect does it have to highlight more than one tactic?

What does the red triangle mean?

What does the green triangle mean?

And at times, no triangle is shown - what does it mean?

Thanks for any help.

red triangle = offensive mentality;
green triangle = defensive mentality;
no triangle = neutral mentality.

Aditional, you can set attacking tactics ( using 2, 4, 6, 8 on NumPad - right part of the keyboard ) and defensive tactics ( combining 2, 4, 6, 8 on NumPad with tactics selector key - Q by default, or else if you changed it ).

You will have 4 options for attack ( CounterAttack - CA, Box Overload - BO, 3rd Man Release - MR, Wing Play - WP ) and 4 options to defend ( Zonal Defence - ZD, Pressing - PR, Flat Back - FB, Offside Trap - OT ).

Look carefully and you will see in tutorials every meaning and how it works !

P.S. Talking by experience, i use a lot of neutral mentality + CA + PR. It pressure the opposing team a lot ( watch for their counter-play also ! ). sometimes i switch to offensive mentality and my defenders stays 45 yards from their own net and my strikers on 20-25 yards from the enemy GK !

Thanks a lot! Your explanation makes more sense than the tutorial.

The only other answer I need is what happens when I press more than one tactic (using directional buttons on Logitech gamepad). On offence, I can highlight all 4 at the same time. And on defence, it lets me highlight just 3 tactics at the same time. What exactly does this do, if anything?

Thanks again.
