Team Edit Help

Hi. Been playing WE6 for a while but just got into editing the teams. I edited some club teams i didn't like and made my own. I changed the kits, the flags, etc. Then I tried to edit the players but I can't. If I edit a player in a club team, it also changes in his national team which is obviously no good.

Then I tried to "create a player", but I can't insert him in a club team, only in a national team. This can't be right, I'm sure I have to be missing something.

Konami can't screw up this bad, can they?

hell yea, they screwed this up man. you cant register created players or base copies to club teams. they musta been on crack or something when they were programming that part

anyway if you dont want that the national player is also effected by your editing then do a base copy of him and stock that base copy. then you register it to the national team and now you can edit the club player without him being effected on his national team stupid trick i know but if you really wanna play with your own club teams it's the only way you have till PES2. i hope KTYO fix that problem in that game. but remember, you still cant edit the club team players' jersey numbers and you cant edit their nationalities and also you cant edit the formation and kicktakers/captain of the club teams.
this is Konami in 2002. one word: embarrassing.

unbelievable. That's when i wonder if Konami does it on purpose just so they can "correct" it in a later version of the game.

Capitanpato, with all KCET stick into each game with the gameplay improvements and the passion that they put into their games do you really think they'd dumb the edit mode down purposefully just so they could 'fix' it later?

It's a screwup no doubt and needs to be fixed but I find it hard to believe that KCET, of all developers, would dumb their games down purposefully - especially considering the 100s of other things they do brilliantly (except for those f@cking REFS! ).

It's not as if we wouldn't buy WE6:FE if the edit mode in WE6 was perfect!

I agree with you Neutral. I would buy WE6 FE no matter what. But I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Please explain to me why did KTYO have to wait for WE6 to give us control over our players when they run like mad after a ball that is going out of bounds? And why are there still no refs onfield yet? And why can we edit awesome team logos and not be able to put it on the kit itself, only for the flag? Just a couple of issues of the top of my head.

KTYO makes the best football game period. There is no doubt about this. This is why it makes no sense for them to screw up on things that are apparently "easy" to implement. And that would make a world of a difference.
