Best final i've ever seen. Great mixed doubles one followed too.

Great tournament overall, i watched WAY too much of it :(

Doesn't beat the 2001 final between Rafter and Ivanisevic for me. That was such a see-saw match, absolute classic.

Semi-final wasn't too bad either ;)

And Sharapova was clinching in the past days. Great achievement there for Radwanska.

Now we all know who will win in the women's draw...

Feliciano Lopez looked like he might have given Federer a fight for the match but it was shortlived.

Yeah Federer then decided it was time to win 39 straight points on his serve just for good measure :|, this guy is just...

Federer vs. a rested Roddick should be an interesting affair.

Nah, Federer is looking too powerful for him, at best Andy can look to take a set off him i reckon.

It's the long game stamina that other plays dont have that meants Federer will always win the grand slams (the majority of the time). I've played 3 setters and a few 5 setters when i was younger, and the difference is bloody amazing between the top players and the ****ter ones in the final two sets. Federer never seems to tire, plays like Roddick, Safin, Davydenko - they don't seem to have the long game.

I could be wrong of course, personally i'd love to see Roddick win the U.S Open.

That 3 players you mentionted can only face and win against Federer if they are on super-form. Take Safin in AUS Open 2005 I believe...

Federer will win against Roddick. In max, Roddick steals a set.

Djokovic plays great esspecially this year..

I think he is the one of the fav players in this years US Open.

If he can play final this year,It won't be easy to Federer to win his 4th US Open title..

Remember Roger's Masters Cup :ewan:

Djokovic usually breaks if he goes for a 4th set, and starts taking long time to recover between games and stuff. I believe he has some physical problems.

Federer and Henin will win this once again, whatever.

What an epic match, eh? This Novak kid is one of the smartest and gifted players that I've come across since, since.....well, Federer himself.

I can see him being the undisputed number one in 3-4yrs when Federer retires and Nadal has broken down from abusing 'roids.

Exactly my opinion on the matter. Federer is gonna crush the major record, somewhere in the 20s I'm guessing and then he will retire leaving only Djokovic and a roid abused Nadal like you mentioned to fight for slams and since Djokovic has game on all surfaces he will probably end up getting his fair share of slams. He's definitely the future though.

Couldn't agree more, those three look way out in front. The fact Davydenko didn't drop a set until he played Feds in the semi-final, before promptly losing in straights speaks volumes.

Djokovic is just awesome. He turns the match in a comedy show sometimes. He is the future.

In a lucky day this game could have to 4-set, maybe 5-setter. This final reminded me of AUS Open Final this year. Gonzalez could have made it go to one or two more sets, but in the end, the little things were important, and Federer had them.

Djokovic impersonating Sharapova is just !!!! (H)

EDIT: Just saw the Roddick one, I totally lmao'ed.
