I'm currently working on a .cmp file to update A-league squads in CEP (which i originally did for Fifa 06) and formations to as accurate as I can (as well as player appearances).

I'll also include some much more realistic adboards, crowd flags, number font and new ball (both of which you can see on the screenshots in my last post).

I was just considering chants the other day - I noticed that one of the chants in FIFA 07 that Man United use is "Cooome ooonnn yoooou reds!" like Adelaide United sings so I thought i'd set that to be used for Adelaide as well. Also a lot of players have the same name as players that have sound files for commentary, so I thought i'd set it so that the commentators say the names of those players.

davz - where did you get next seasons kits from? Have they been released?

I think the best way to go forward would be to all work together - let's put as much stuff as we can into the CEP, but other more specific stuff like chants should be done seperately so that A-league fans can get an even more authentic experience.

I tried the "official link" with uTorrent and Shareaza but i couldn't get any sources.

Does it only work with Bittorrent?

No worries, i found, after uTorrent spent just about 3 hours searching for seeds.

At the moment you have to download the CEP from www.fifa-mra.com/cep (you'll have to use the torrent link, which is slow).

I'm almost done with a .cmp file that will make the A-league in the CEP patch a lot better, when I'm done with that I might make a expansion pack so that you don't have to download the CEP, but can still play in the A-league.

To people that have said they would like to help - please volunteer to do something, we need people to make kits, other graphics, accurate rosters, chants, possibly stadiums and player faces - I'd like to think we could do a great patch for season 3 of the A-league (the .cmp file I'm doing now is based on season 2).

OK, i have a complete set of *current* rosters, have tuned Melbourne Victory, they are still not as good as sydney or adelaide but have some key attributes over them in a few areas, like pace up front and mentality at the back, I personally feel that in comparison to the rest of the world we are a little bit to good, in order to make nick carle the best in league he had to have a rating of 76 which compared to a lot of the world is a damn good player, but i will continue my work with Melbourne, i have the kits made up already

Cool, what is the overall rating you have for Melbourne Victory now - it won't be that hard to bring down the ratings for the rest of the league a little so that Melbourne have the highest ratings (let's be honest they are the best side - or were the best side in season 2).

Good to hear that you have made the kits, but what we really need to make a patch good is one person to do all the kits - that way they can all use the same template and will look professional, likewise we need one person to do all the minikits, one person to do all the team logos etc.

Of course rosters are a different matter as everyone knows there team really well.

I personally am good at minikits, adboards, flags, balls and am pretty good at kits - mind you I can do pretty much everything, but some things I am not so good at.

Question - do you think it would be a good idea to start a new thread, we are kind of talking about a different project to what this thread is about?

I have a fixed exe & no dvd patch on my FIFA 07 (which allows me to play the game without the CD), could I also apply the CEP v3.0 on it aswell. The sweetpatch site says you have to have a "FRESH installation which means NO profile added/installed" does this include any patches that you have previously appplied, eg: my one. Ie: will this CEP v 3.0 overwrite my existing fixed exe & no dvd patch.

And also:
On the sweetpatch site the CEP v 3.0 doesn't mention that it has the A-league on it:

"- Italy Serie A, Serie B, C1A and C1B
- Germany 1. Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga
- Spain Primera and Segunda
- French Ligue 1
- Mexican Primera and Primera A (+new teams)
- Brazil Serie A
- Argentina Primera Div
- England Premiership
- England Coca-Cola Championship
- Czech Gambrinus Lig
- Scotland Premier League
- Sweden Allsvenskan
- Turkey Turkcell Lig"

These leagues are the leagues that will be updated for the next version of cep, you can see the total number of leagues that the CEP includes by going here: http://www.fifa-mra.com/CEP/Release.shtml.

A fixed-exe and no-dvd patch won't be any problem with the CEP, but you will need to go into 'my documents' and delete the 'fifa 07' folder (this deletes all your saved games and profile information). If you install CEP and it no longer works without the dvd you will just need to run the no-dvd patch again.

If you have other patches like new kits, new graphics or that sort of thing you may need to re-install the game.

I then clicked on the CEP07 v3.2 Update icon, which installed properly and i then ran the fatbhbuilder and everything worked fine.

I ran the game and everything worked perfectly, except for the club logos of the A-League and when you go to play a match, the game shuts down when the match is loading.

Is this due to not being able to install CEP 07 v 3.0? Do you have any idea how to properly extract and install the CEP 07 v3.0 torrent file?

Not officially, but THIS is a screenshot of some FFA slideshow presentation (I've seen that whole thing too, but can't find a url ATM) which I assume they've been showing potential sponsors etc. Kit sponsors isn't 100% accurate anymore (e.g. Perth will have QBE on the front and that Chinese steel company on the back I believe)
but, yeah, that's what next season's should be like if you're interested.

Anyway good luck with this whole project thing. I've done a little for that sort of stuff in the past, there's a lot of work.... best of luck for it. I'd help out but I don't own the last couple of FIFAs and, TBH, I don't have the time nor would I have the motivation for it.... but I appreciate what you guys are doing

Cheers, the thing I'm doing at the moment (i reckon I can finish it this weekend) will be entirely based on season 2, but once that's done It'll be nice to start preparing for season 3.

yeh, haha worked it out. But now I have the same problem as other people - I cant find a source/tracker for the file in either Bittorent or uTorrent.

I downloaded it using uTorrent only a couple of weeks ago - there may be times where you can't find a source/tracker, but if you just leave it it will find one eventually.
