Starting XI
It was a weird final for me. Injustice, justice andirritation in one game. Injustice because Milan clearly deserved to win and were unlucky no to do so. Justice because they were outplayed by PSV in both legs and PSV really deserved to be in Istanbul last night. Irritation because the scouse bindippers won it.

Let me just say I have an utmost respect to Shevchenko but the way he took that PK was not very smart to say the least...

Johann Vogel verruilt PSV voor AC Milan

26/5/2005 15:22

Translation:
Lazio Roma was trying to sign Johann Vogel from PSV, but he signed a contract with AC Milan.

He signs a 3 year contract. ''This is a fantastic top team, this is like a dream for me'' Johann Vogel said on www.psv.nl Vogel partly earned his tranfer because he played well versus Milan in the CL.

Vogel (28) played 6 years for PSV. PSV wanted to extend his contract, but Vogel rejected this. He felt he needed a new challenge.

Because Vogel was transfer free there were a lot of team interested in him. Lazio Roma was close to an agreement, but they didnt accept the length of the contract Vogel wanted.
-------------------------

There you go, he's a player that will fit perfectly in the Milan midfield, plays boring, just like Gatusso and Ambrosini. 1 goal and 0 assists for PSV in the league this season, proves my point.
HAHAHAHAHAHA (H)(H)(H)

Good for Johann (Y):(

Team Captain
Paolo Maldini has articulated his bitterness following Milan's sensational collapse in the UEFA Champions League final.

The Rossoneri captain opened the scoring with less than a minute on the clock as Milan raced into a three-goal lead at the interval.

However, Liverpool bounced back to force extra time and triumphed on penalties.

"We feel in a really bad way for how things happened," he told Milan's official website.

"Anyway, I prefer losing these matches playing in a good way. We have failed for only ten minutes out of 120.

"We haven't played at our level just for a short time and we have been punished.

"This is a really heavy defeat to take.

"For sure, it's only a sports event, but it's clear I'll take with me the memory of this night for a long time.

"My goal? It has been useless.

"What counted was winning."

he deserved more than this... and I dont think Milan really need Vogel unless they plan to offload Ambro and use him as a backup to Gattuso or something...

Hey, shouldn't that yellow line be parallel with the white line (of the box)?

err no.

Its called perspective. That line drawn is pretty accurate.

notice the darker and lighter strips of turf. they are all parallel and even in reality... but they converge due to the perspective angle and appear the way they do. they are all parallel to the white line...and so is the yellow one drawn.

to illustrate what i mean
