Chelsea striker Didier Drogba was spotted talking to AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliano in a Milan restaurant on Monday, sparking speculation in the Italian media of a possible move by the Italian club to sign the Ivory Coast international.

Drogba, who was dropped to the Chelsea bench on Sunday but scored when he came on in the 2-0 Premiership win at Blackburn, is on holiday in Italy as he is not involved in an international duty like most of his team-mates.

The Gazzetta dello Sport said Galliani, who reportedly spoke with Drogba for 15 minutes, may be prepared to table a bid of 30 million euros (38.4 million dollars) for the powerful 28-year-old forward after failing to lure Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

Milan, who reluctantly sold Andriy Shevchenko to Chelsea last month, will start the new Serie A season with minus eight points after being found guilty of match-fixing during the 2004-05 campaign.

Drogba signed for Chelsea for 24 million pounds (45.6 million dollars) in July 2004 from French club Marseilles and scored 16 goals in 40 games in his debut season to help the club win their first league title for 50 years.

Drogba ended up as the top provider of goals in the Premier League last season with 11 assists as Chelsea retained their title.

However, his season was blighted by accusations of diving and he hinted that he might leave the Premiership due to what he considered as unfair treatment by the English media.

Drogba helped Ivory Coast qualify for their first World Cup this year with nine goals in eight qualifying games.

where exactly would he fit into the milan team?

In the infirmary.

That's new bull**** from the spanish press.

Seriously, with his 60kg he would stand exactly 3 seconds against the massive Serie A defenders before they break both his legs.

Every hour we're linked to someone else now, The Sun (another tabloid) links us to Ronaldinho. I think I'm going to skip the next two days, I gave up on signing anyone save the surprise now.

Drogba? don't think so. I don't like him, but hey I don't run the show. Instead I think Mourinho won't let him go because with his new number 7 partner he's doing pretty good I think.

Looks like we'll fix the Oliveira thing as Johann Vogel is passing the medics tests in Sevilla as I write this. Tomorrow Braida has an appointment in Livorno. Yeah you read right. Livorno. Don't tell me we are going to buy ******* Lucarelli LOL. No, I think we're going to buy Amelia, since Buffon is staying in Serie B while almost all his old team mates dissapeared elsewhere. Well at least he isn't going to Inter too, like Camaronesi wants also now. Soon they can rename Inter Milan to Inter Torino or Juventus Milan I think.

As for Gallas and Oddo no more news. Then there's also the SF stories that link us to Robinho + Ronaldo and even better Ronaldinho.

Sigh.

i'm thinking of this.... is like a theory or something, but i think Milan wants to keep Kaka by bring in brazilian players.

I know we have dida, cafu and serginho but like real madrid with ronaldo in his time. I think they want him to feel comfortable around brazilian players, plus i wouldn't be shock to see kaka's brother with the first team next season (on the bench of course). I mean, brazilian players are amazing, but think about it.... almost all of our recent or since real madrid seriously tried to signed kaka, we have been linked with brazilian players only and Oddo.

I just hope it pays off.

Starting XI
Good signing in Ricardo Oliveira. He's a great player when fit, very speedy and gifted. It remins me of Eto'o somehow.

Don't know if he's ready for the physical exigency of Calcio though

... and the transfer market ends today. What an interesting team managemebt AC Milan has! Not even ONE major name, and no "promesse" at all, except Gourcuff (have is spelt it right? its not a joke.) maybe which seems to be relagated to the substitutes bench with Kaka` in top form... One thing you shold tell Galliani... Hold to Kaka`!

CarlosDanger

Starting XI
Gourcuff plays deeper than Kaka anyway. He could play in Seedorf's spot.

He should have been loaned back to Rennes or somewhere where he could continue his development as a key first team player as I don't know if he is ready for that yet at Milan. Maybe he will surprise.

We couldn't do a normal transfer campaign due to calciopoli and the fact we weren't directly qualified for the CL until the last week of the transfers, in that timeframe all interesting players were already taken. Oliveira is a good player but can't replace Sheva (no one can), but I'm pissed we didn't go for Gallas (we should have taken him as part of the Sheva chelsea deal to begin with) and that we loaned Foggia to Lazio without getting Oddo back to Milan. We're starting with a points deficit of 8 points and we're facing another grey season with no silverware to show, where's my bucket so I can vomit, I can't stand winning Carlos **** in 3 years, it's shamefull for a side like Milan, we're made to win not to loose like the blue and black scum.

Anyway any team that is champion in 2007 with less than 8 points in front of Milan will be a paper champion again, all will know who is the true champion.

I don't want to instil a fight. But do you realise thet lately we have won more than you did? As for Gourcuff, I think, as it was previosly said, should be loaned away. The boy will turn into a great player, if, and i say IF, he has alot of play time an opprtunities where to develop...
