I know Pippo looks useless on the pitch, but he scores the goals, he isnt around the ball much otherwise. from what ive seen of Iaquinta, he gets more of the ball, and does less with it.
i just hate the guy tho, so that could be the reason for my comments ;).

Iaquinta SUCKS imo, i don't like him. In the world cup he did nothing, he was just standing in the middle of nothing.

Sheva7 you say Bonera reinforce a need ??? ONE of many needs we have on defence, i mean Bonera is like a replacement for Stamp (35?) but what about Costacurta, Maldini, Cafu... we need to get younger fast and Gallas is a good defender and far more younger that our current starters......

NEWS....

AC Milan have a commitment from Juventus striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Despite Juve president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli's insistence today that Ibra "would not leave", it's emerged the Swede has a 'gentlemen's' agreement with Milan.

Il Giornale says Ibrahimovic will move to Milan should they manage to qualify for the Champions League proper. If they fail, the Swede will accept a move to city rivals Inter Milan.

Both Milan clubs have agreed personal terms with Ibrahimovic over a long-term 3 million-a-year contract.

========================================

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has hinted at their interest in Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon.

Juve's interest in Livorno No1 Marco Amelia has fueled speculation they're ready to sell the Italian World Cup winner.

Galliani said today: "Buffon? It is Juventus that are unwilling to sell to us."

Lets pray for the best (Y)

my god you manage to get speculation out of anything.

yeah, coming from the person that says a myserious signing will be unveiled along with Carrick...

dont get me wrong, could well happen, but what you are speculating is much more random than what we are speculating.

Lol Ibrahimovic coming if we manage to qualify for the group stage of the CL, else he will move to Inter? I would kick my 46 in his ass and show him the way to the other side of the San Siro immediatly, what an arrogant swede fag.

I'm worried for wednesday's match, our season and transfers depend on it and we're facing one of the strongest East-European sides with an half-assed team. I hope Dida has recovered form and that the soap is of his gloves this year, we don't want any red star goal in San Siro or we're in for a world of hurt in the Marakana.

Well not really half-assed team, its just the defence that is screwed. I think its rather unfortunate we play our first leg at home. Thats the worrying part for me. The game is only 3 days away (Y) I hope I get to see Yoann Gourcuff.

Neways, Livorno's president has confirmed that we have offered cash + Coppola (the new reserve keeper) for their keeper Amelia.

Juve also made a bid but he likes ours a lot more than Juve's. However he said he isnt sure Amelia would want to play for us so he suggested that he may accept our offer and so we can offer Amelia to Juve for Buffon.

About Gallas, looks like we lost him to Arsenal. Damn Materazzi :kader:

Yeah well Gallas didn't want to come to Italy anyway (after the WC final and the things he said on Italians he would have been hung if he came anyway)

but

Inter, as every year is buying a whole new team. Looks like they proposed Pizarro + Burdisso + some cash to Juventus for Ibrahimovic and they're going to talk to Crespo the day after tomorrow in London also.

If Berlusconi and Baldie don't wake up soon we're going to get screwed on the transfer market big time. If we fail to qualify for the group stages of the CL we won't be able to land anyone anymore.

After the calciopoli full of it's false accusations and the downtime it gave us in the transfer market (Zambrotta & Co), it is still holding us back to sign Ibrahimovic (he wants to be sure to play CL) and Crespo (Berlusconi considers him as a backup to sign, but as I said Inter is moving fast now)

It's slowly starting to piss me off, and Inter is doing a nice job on becoming the new number one on my hatelist.

They're signing good players, but the more foreign/new players you've got, more adaptation time is required. And that's why they never gel as a team.

rony31

? They're getting Ibra and Crespo, both have played in Italy, so I don't think much adaptation is needed there :p oh, unless you mean adapt to their teammates and Inter's crappy style of play :$

That's extremely steep.....not just for Heroic Zlatan, but for anyone. How Juve, a team who's been demoted can take such an iron-willed position on a player who's clearly not looking to play a division down this year is beyond me, man. Burdisso demonstrated his worth in the WC and Pizarro?....Well, he's never gonna get his fair chance with Mancini coaching this team, but that doesn't mean that he should be dangled around like a piece of meat......the guy's a ******* talent, man, and we could really use his services.

I would think the opposite. It's very fortunate for you that the first leg is at home. You're playing on your turf with a wounded defense. In Marakana, you would suffer a lot more.

Usually, it's a blessing to host the return leg, but in your case, having a weakened defense and all, it's a good thing. You can count on Zvezda being a little impressed with the San Siro atmosphere (and I mean LITTLE, because their mentality is different, their players won't fear your famous name) and letting you dictate the match because you're the home team. This could be your way through.

Though at this point, I would hesitate to put money on a Milan qualification.

Good luck! (Y)

Yea, that. Plenty of Argies on the side. That alone takes a LOT of adaptation. (H)

The latest possible line up.

Dida

Cafu--Simic--Costacurta--Jankulovski

Gattuso--Pirlo--Seedorf

Kaká

Gilardino-Inzaghi

Not too bad actually. I have faith in Simic but I worry if Billy can handle the fast strikers. Do Red Star have these kinds of players?

I expect Seedorf in a really withdrawn role and give Pirlo a completely free role as the World Cup has shown that is what it takes to bring out the best out of him.

Gilardino will also be a bit withdrawn playing a targetman, holding up the ball while linking up with Kaká with those little one twos. Inzaghi should trouble their defense (Y)

I hope Janks can cement his place and bench Sergio. He will be a tremendous weapon to bring in from the bench. I dont think he should start this season.

all I know is Red Star have Zigic. he's a big ass mofo, not much speed. don't know about their other strikers though.
