FF7 has to be the best RPG i've ever played in my whole life, alongside with FF Tactics. I'm still to play the newer ones though.

lol. Are the ps2 FF games any good? I know that they should be better in theory than the older ones due to the hardware, but thats not always the case. I thought that the old metal gear solid was better than the first ps2 metal gear game. The storyline just got ridiculous on the PS2 game. It was like Hideo (the writer) dropped acid half way through writing it.

so true... MGS1 had the greatest storyline in a game I've ever seen... one of the rare games in which I enjoy sitting through the cutscenes

MGS2 was great as well, but in the end when the Colonel and that chick started going loco, I kinda got impatient and skipped through the codec nonetheless, Hideo's a genious

I sat through anything on MGS1. I can't wait for the Twin snakes too come out

well i liked the ps2 ff titles, or title even (FFX) since FFX2 hasnt been released yet.

but it isnt a patch on FFVII.

It's the best strategy RPG ever. It's a master piece, believe me, one of the most innovative games i've ever played. That's why it deserves a place alongside FFVII in my opinion. Also, there's Cloud in FFT too... although he isnt anything special.
