He dived and it was not a penalty, still it's not like Celtic would have won in the first place...
It's really retarded when people are calling for bans when Gerrard,CR or Drogba never recieved such reactions...so why him?

Eboué now says he is ready to stay with the clubs :), good news ! Looks like he and 52 Cent are trying to fight to be in the supporters hearts.

Too bad he's missing the game :(.

I guess since Platini wants to cut the diving out of the game, he needs to start somewhere. It is not about Celtic losing anyway. You want to create a fair game and the diving incident simply was cheating....

I agree with Boruc and his reaction. Dive of the season. Simply ridicules and disgusting.....what a brazilian reject with talent :)

I wouldn't say a word about this situation if he touched Eduardo. It's not even about given penalty, it's only about fairness. I believe the whole world felt sorry for Eduardo when the Birmingham mother****er broke his leg. He gained lots of fans with that incident, but now I think he lost some part of them through yesterday's dive of the season. Mirosław Klose is a bitch but has balls to tell the referee that there was no penalty.

You senseless idiot! He was trying to be over cautious in his landing after jumping over the keeper. He tried to land his jump so as to avoid another major injury like the one you referenced. His landing wasn't perfect and he fell. It wasn't a penalty but, to me, it did not appear to be a dive.

He tried to pull off a two-footed landing but his trailing leg missed and he tipped over.

No, it was clearly a dive. If he was 'cautious', then I doubt he would be playing football again.

How often does a player have to jump over a keeper during the course of a game? Not too often. This was not a normal circumstance.

I think he did dive...not because he is a dirty player. I'm not defending him and I'm not proud of what happened. The problem I have is the "witch-hunt" on him. Drogba and Ronaldo have been accused of diving lots of times but there was never any backlash on them like this. Gerrard and Owen too have dived a fair number of times but the media never has attacked them like this...probably because they are British. If this is UEFA's new stance on simulation then I'm completely in support of this, but if any other player dives and does not receive such hounding then I'm afraid UEFA is a disgrace.

EDIT: Cesc is out of the United game...

Not suffered any backlash? They're the most hated players on the planet. And their reputation is already tarnished, making it hard for them to get penalties even if they're really fouled. Agree about Gerrard tho, damn cun+ seems to get away with everything and still end up being loved.

Dive in my opinion, but UEFA are wrong to charge him....they can't just charge him out of the blue its inconsistent, they have to bring the rule in and start it from here on in so it's fair and everyone is on the same page.

I've got a lot of respect for Klose for that incident. You can call him stupid for it, but it's a shame there aren't more people like him in the sport.

When was this incident?

Don't remember, it was when he was playing in Bremen,I think. Or the club before that, but definitely in Germany. He tripped in the area and the ref thought it was a foul and pointed to the spot, but the opposition players complained and the ref talked to Klose and he admitted he just tripped. They didn't get the penalty in the end.

This was before the World Cup, I remember them talking about this incident when Germany played the opening match.

Good first half, it's very tight at the middle, like fifa world class in ps3, hahahaha. Arashavin goal was beauty but we will win it in second half.

Unlucky Arsenal, really... Should and could have got something out of the game, United didn't deserve a win today... How bad is Arshavin's injury?

Utd didn't win the game, we lost it. We were unlucky to concede the goals, but should have had the quality and character to get them back. Granted we didn't deserve to lose, and we didn't have Fabregas, I still think we need to do better than that if we want to win the title.

The thing is, and it's been like this for some years now, Arsenal don't know how to be in advantage.. It's either against a smaller team and they go on to smash them 5 or 6, or it's a team like United who can actually push back. The kind of game United play after they were winning, is something Arsenal just cannot do.

Agreed, we don't really have a successful way of playing once we've taken the lead. We seem to usually take our foot off the pedal, and then we don't really get going 100% until were losing, and by that time it's often too late. Today I don't blame us as much as other times for blowing the lead, as the circumstances in which we conceded today were especially fluky, today I blame us for not having the quality to come back, but in past seasons blowing the lead has been what's cost us.

Wenger needs to give this team a way to play where we can sit back and hold on for a while. For us we always seem to think the best offense is a good defense, but like you said when you play teams like Utd you need to sit back for parts of the match. I'm hoping with the emergence of Song and Vermaelen they'll be able to fix this problem that's cost us from winning trophies in the past.
