with Gattuso ive learned ppl have two stances on him. They either think highly of him (like me), or think hes garbage. Theres no middle ground. Blasi and De Rossi could take his spot, but i feel neither of them have proved themselves yet. Zanetti is to much of a "blah/meh" player to me, and Perrotta is to me a 'poor mans Gattuso'

Hello,
does anybody have access to the ITALY World Cup Qualification games being played this weekend and on Wednesday against Norway and Moldova.
My local cable provider no longer carries National team games and I am dying to see them. If somebody can tape them for me I would gladley pay for them and any further games in the future.

These were pretty experienced players he was again, from the lower divisions, they liked a tackle to say the least, yet he rode the tackles and flew past them like they werent there. When he got knocked down, he got back up again. His goal? Superb, out of nothing, picks the ball up, goes past one, great foot work takes him past 2 in a tight situation, then a shift onto his right foot takes him past another where he hammers the ball into the roof of the net from a tight angle. The kid is 16, unbelievable, he's probably got more fingers than pubes and he's doing that!. 10."

Today Francesco Totti will join his Italy team mates in Palermo and the medical staff will check if his injury will prevent him from playing against Moldova on Wednesday.
The Roma striker injured his ankle yesterday afternoon during a friendly and he contacted the Italian federation saying that he wouldn't join the team because he couldn't play. At that point Marcello Lippi phoned Totti and forced the giallorosso captain to make the trip to Palermo saying that it is only up to the manager to say if a player can stay at home or not.
It looks like the new coach will not tolerate any nonsense from the italian football stars and it's time for a new regime at the Italian training camp. Hard days ahead for Totti and co

After undergoing a test this afternoon Italy's medical staff announced that Totti's ankle injury is serious and the striker will not be able to recover in time for the Moldova match.
The player had already said that he wasn't going to play on Wednesday but Lippi insisted for him to join the team in Palermo and check with Italy's doctor Enrico Castellacci.
The Italy manager will have to make do without the Roma captain and he announced that he plans to change five or six players that started the match against Norway last night because he wants to avoid to have any tired men on the pitch.

Shouldnt Toni get the start after his performance, or would that make too much sense for Lippi?
And why is Lippi even giving DP a chance? Miccoli played very well on Saturday, im tired of him getting all these chances. His favouritism for Juve players is too much, i bet he'll give Legrottagle the start as well
