Man Utd were awesome in the opening minutes against Bolton - could have scored 4 or 5 goals before Bolton even strung together 3 passes. Chelsea were effective against Sheffield United. It was never ever a penalty against Drogba.

Man U have to play pompey next and we got a game in hand. IF we win our game in hand we will be 4 pts behind. I think it is way too early to call it a 2 way race for the title.

U might be right and i hope u r the only reason im not very confident in Arsenal is that they usually have to start and finish well because the form for them usually drops in the middle of the season around christmas when its cold and hard to pass the ball.

A lot of people were saying that Arse would have a problem earning 4th. I think that they can do it because Liverpool doesn't look like they'll finish ahead of Arsenal and the other teams ahead of Arsenal probably won't be able to maintain things so Arsenal should have luck on their side. Oh and to deal with that cold problem, frosted pitch, etc, BUY SOME BRITISH PLAYERS.

It's funny because Arsenal were in the exact position as Man Untd. are a couple of years ago but Chelsea of course went on to win and I don't think enough has changed to stop that so Chelsea should hopefully come out on top again but this little race will continue for a while before they show signs of breaking away like the last two years.

Dno bout this frosted pitch malarky. Most of the stadiums in the Premiership (If not all) will have undersoil heating. I don't know about Chelsea though with the state of their field, do they even have a groundsmen at their pitch?

They have a goat. He sleeps during the winter though.

This happened when they were skint for cash, they fired the groundscrew. Roman never re-hired them.

I heard about that. The RSPCA are supposedely none too happy with Chelsea, and have fined them. Jose Mourinho is complaining about unfair treatment towards Chelsea, and is claiming conspiracy based on evidence that the other teams are receiving leanient treatment over their goats. Same old Chelsea....

I think the title race would be much closer this season than the past two. Man Utd started very poorly in the past two seasons and that was why Chelsea had such a big gap in terms of points over them by Christmas, and that was always going to be difficult to be overturned.

It's far too early to call it a two-horse race yet, although it certainly seems as if Chelsea and Man Utd are the two strongest sides. Arsenal has shown glimpses of good form, but they seem to have problems breaking down teams who are determined to put 11 men behind the ball. Everton, Aston Villa, and Middlesbrough all have been able to stop Arsenal winning at home.

No, the trend will continue. Arsenal will keep playing really well but continue to drop points, Liverpool will never come close enough to the challenge, a few of the teams at the top will drop off, etc. I'm not saying that it won't change for next year but I don't see anything for it to this year.

I'd fire Benitez if he can't give Liverpool a good run next year or if he gives them a poor one this year. If you look at it, the CL win has been the only reason why the guy has earned this much protection.

No BIG fixtures this week, although, some tense mid-table matches, but teams like Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool should win their matches, although, you never know... Let face it Arsenal Home ground isnt going to be a fortness, Give them half season. As 4 u chelesa & Man U fans Winning might be no problem now but come the back end of season things might not look so gd. Arsenal might be wasting chances but im surprized how many KEEPERS step up when playing Arsenal. To be fair Arsenal have had no luck. Just play gd WengerBall. Man U and Chelesa had few lucky breaks. It Still a three horse race at moment.

Keepers do not step up their game when playing Arsenal at all. Thats just a poor excuse for the dreadful finishing that plagues Arsenal. You can play all the pretty football you like, (Which Arsenal do only in spurts by the way),but if you cant win at the same time, then what is the point.

At this moment Arsenal are drawing 0-0 with West Ham. 2 more points dropped by Arsenal. You cannot win the league with consistantly poor results, and playing pretty counter attacks without scoring enough goals is just pointless.
