Sorry to say this man, but, DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL?!!

None of these players are defensive midfielders fist of all. Secondly, you forgot a few players.........

Patrick Viera, Mark van Bommel, Edgar Davids, Roy Keane, Claude Makalele, Emerson, and Genarro Ivan Gattuso are all better DMs, just to name a few.

Umit Davala and Scholes are not defansive midfielder...

Tugay Kerimoglu is Turkish defansive midfielder...

How on earth is Paul Scholes a defensive midfielder? If this is just about defensive midfielders in the World Cup, Paul Scholes should still not be in it. Nicky Butt is England's defensive midfielder.

The best on the list is probably Gilberto Silva (probably because he's the only defensive midfielder on the list), but overall (not just World Cup) it has to be the fantastic Roy Keane.

The guy is from South America and the only defensive midfielders he got right was the American ones...
I think Torrado did a great job for Mexico so if you make this a poll between Gilberto Silva and Torrado I guess Torrado is my pick, he was an outstanding balance player for Mexico this year.

Butt has been amazing this WC, weird to think that he's only reserve at ManUtd because of Keane.

I'd rather have combinations of Keane, Scholes and Butt at United and sell Veron. Veron is an outstanding player but he's average in the Premiership because of the clash of style's

Butt was brilliant at the World Cup, I don't think he'll be a bench warmer for much longer
